IT Cooling Systems

Cooling with CO₂ & Chilled Water

TROX Advanced IT Cooling Systems (AITCS) offers specialised cooling solutions for server rooms and dealer desks on trading floors.

AITCS offers the market a choice of their patented, ‘electrically benign’ liquid CO₂ systems for risk averse clients or, a chilled water (CHW) alternative for those users who prefer to adopt traditional CHQ technologies.

Trader Floor Cooling

(CO₂OLdesk™ / AQUAdesk™)

In-desk PC Cooling

The system provides a High Density liquid cooling solution for trader desks. The solution cools the micro-climate within the desk PC chamber. The co-ordinated cooler/desk approach ensures maximum comfort.

In-desk PC & Monitor Cooling

To complement the PC cooling system, monitor cooling is also available. An active supply diffuser provides direct cooling to the monitors.

Data Centre Cooling

High Density Rack Cooling 40kW

(CO₂OLrac™ / AQUArac™)

High capacity, open architecture liquid cooling units are compatible with all rack types and sizes, designed to satisfy all levels of redundancy.

‘Pump-less’ High Density Rack Cooling

20kW (CO2OLflow™)

The pump-less system harnesses the server heat to create a thermosyphon CO₂ cycle. It is the simple form of non-water cooling for medium and high density equipment racks.

Expandable Rack Cooling

(AIRbridge™)

AIRbridge™ can provide two alternative functions:

• 10kW Hotspot fan assisted ducted air cooling
• 40kW High density cooling (via drop-in coil)

CO₂ Plant Variants

There are three alternative CO₂ central plant options available:

CO₂OLpac™

CO₂OLpac™ is designed for all buildings that have sufficient CHW to meet cooling demands, but whose client requires high-capacity cooling without water.

CO₂OLairpac

CO₂OLairpac is an independent cooling solution for outdoor applications. It is energy-efficient, combining a low-energy chiller with CO₂ rack cooling.

CO₂OLwaterpac™

CO₂OLwaterpac™ uses cooling tower water to reject heat from a low-energy chiller. The packaged system includes a heat exchanger, receiver vessel and circulating pumps.

Computer Room Floor Grilles

Floor grille types AFG and CFG are specifically developed for mounting in computer room raised access floors, where load and damage resistance are of the utmost importance. The CFG fan deck will provide hotspot cooling.
