Armstrong
With over 270 years combined experience, Armstrong has set the high
standards of fluid flow technology and innovation within the global
marketplace. Offering one of the widest ranges of pumps, pumping
systems and fluid handling solutions our goal is to provide
leadership to the industry, practical solutions to customer problems
and superior alternatives to conventional thinking.
Armstrong is able to design, deliver and service
optimum fluid handling solutions for residential, commercial and
industrial applications. Supported by innovative engineering and an
experienced, knowledgeable team, the product range is configured to
individual applications and customer requirements.
The Armstrong range of products includes:
Vertical In-line Pumps
The 4300 Series is a range of split-coupled
vertical in-line pumps that offer space savings when installed with
Suction Guides and Flo-Trex valves. Equivalent base-mounted,
horizontal split-case pumps may take up to three times more floor
space. 4300 Series pumps also allow quick seal changes, offering
maintenance benefits. 4380 Series pumps are close-coupled vertical
in-line pumps typically used for cooling and heating systems,
industrial applications and OEM applications.
Vertical In-line Duty/Standby Pumps
4302/4382 Series dualArm pumps are in-line pumps
designed for HVAC systems. They offer 100% standby with an integral
isolating valve, and provide the features and advantages of two
vertical in-line pumps in a single casing. 4392 Series twin pumps
are traditional twin-head units.
IVS Sensorless Pumps
The IVS Sensorless Series has been designed to
meet the need for energy-efficient pumping systems in today’s
buildings. Traditional pumping systems incorporating fixed speed
pumps waste energy through crude flow control via throttling valves.
IVS Sensorless pump technology allows the speed to be tuned to suit
system demand, saving energy and increasing the life of the pump and
motor bearings. They also reduce capital cost and system complexity
as no remote sensor is required.
Packaged Water Booster Sets
Armstrong offer a complete range of fully
packaged water booster sets that are specified to provide a compact
and high quality solution where high efficiency and low noise are
required. The range includes the 6800 IVS Series all variable speed
booster set with innovative ‘Soft Fill’ function for reduced
hydraulic shock.
Design envelopes are pre-set envelopes / curves
which optimize capacities and energy use. System designers can
choose the design envelope that serves the system needs, providing
full and part load efficient and controllable operation as the
system requires and capacity which satisfies initial and future
design requirements.
Design envelope booster sets are available with a
flow range up to 152l/s and maximum pressure of 25bar and uses pumps
with efficiencies ranging from 64% to 79.5%.
Pressurisation Units
3750 Pulpress Pro makes up the pressure lost from
system leakage and maintains the initial system design
fill-pressure, in sealed LTHW, MTHW or chilled water systems, as set
out in BS 7074.
3750 Pulpress Combined packaged units are used
where there is a need to pressurise and provide make-up for two
separate sealed systems in a building while keeping the same
fill-pressure in each.
