Multi VRF VRV Air-Conditioning - Condensers & Internet Based Controls
The new City Multi YJM range not only has higher seasonal efficiencies but can also allow operators to optimise control of their system based on either heating demand or energy efficiency with the new High Performance Heating and COP Priority modes.
Seasonal performance looks at a more realistic system operation over a heating (SCOP) and cooling (SEER) season and can be used to calculate annual CO2 emissions and system run cost figures. The better the seasonal performance the larger reduction in CO2 emissions the system can offer.
High performance heating mode runs the system with the priority of maintaining higher heating capacity at lower ambient temperatures which is ideal for the UK climate. If the system is required to work as efficiently as possible then COP priority mode can be selected. In addition to this the new YJM range offers 8 additional sizes from the previous range and a new larger frame XL module for improved efficiency.
The new Mitsubishi Electric VRF YJM Replace Multi range of outdoor units enable the replacement of VRF systems whilst utilising existing R22/ R407c pipework. With both heat pump and heat recovery versions available the Replace Multi range allows older, less efficient VRF systems to be upgraded to some of the most efficient units available in the market.
Replace Multi units are able to automatically charge the system with R410A refrigerant therefore pipelengths do not need to be measured. The reused pipes are also automatically flushed to remove any residual R22 mineral oil and during normal operation the units are able to regulate the pressure of the new R410A refrigerant therefore making redundant the need for new pipework and allowing for significant savings on cost and time, whilst also minimising any potential disruption
Mitsubishi Electric's controls portfolio is one of the strongest controls product ranges on the market.
M2M: Each Procon M2M wireless controller has a data SIM card which talks to a dedicated M2M server using a GPRS mobile phone network. This enables remote monitoring and control of both air conditioning as well as third party equipment such as lighting, boilers, air handling units, alarms etc using a set of analogue/digital inputs and outputs available on each interface. The server is accessible on the Internet to offer remote monitoring and online control.
AG150: The Mitsubishi Electric AG150 centralised controller offers a large 9 inch touch screen display with easy control of up to 50 indoor units. The controller offers features such as annual and weekly schedules, night setback, optimised start and refrigerant status function to name a few. The refrigerant status function can be activated regularly (in conjunction with the new City Multi YJM-A range) and an Internet connection with SSL security is also available to monitor and control the AG150 remotely and receive Email under fault conditions.
AT50: The new AT50 centralised controller is a simplified low cost version of the AG150 controller. With a simple and easy to use 5 inch touch screen the AT50 can control and monitor up to 50 indoor units using the main functionality of the AG150 such as mode selection, temperature setting, timer operation, night setback and error indication.
PAR-30MAA: The new PAR-30MAA hardwired remote controller has a full-dot LCD display with blue backlight and a simple button arrangement to allow for easy navigation. The controller can be used with City Multi, Mr Slim and M series systems and offers a wide range of functionality such as a weekly timer, night setback, error indication, energy saving and run/ standby with Mr Slim systems making it a versatile controller for any type of application.
IO Interface:The new IO interface has been developed to allow third party equipment systems, for instance BEMS companies, to easily control and monitor our air conditioning systems using simple volt free contacts and 0 to 10VDC signals. To avoid wasting energy the IO interface can also be used to interlock third party heating systems to Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning. The interface also offers two new energy saving modes; Auto off mode saves energy by switching back to fan only after set time, and the Set point mode uses the room temperature to activate the air conditioning, with the fan only running if the room temperature falls or exceeds a specified temperature, e.g. below 19°C or exceeding 23°C.
TG2000: The TG2000 centralised PC based graphical software package can control and monitor up to a maximum of 2000 indoor units. This software has been designed to connect directly to an air conditioning system via the AG150/ GB50 controller, allowing the operator all the required functionality to control and monitor the complete air conditioning system from a central location. The TG2000 software also allows complete energy consumption data to be logged with user definable billing groups and electrical tariffs for billing purposes.
Melcotel Hotel Interface: The Melcotel Interface is a unique product which has been specifically designed for the hotel sector to control up to 250 hotel rooms both with or without the integration of a key card system. The controller offers functionality such as night setback, temperature adjustment and window contact control all of which provide a higher level of control therefore more energy saving and a reduction in running costs.
BEMS: Mitsubishi Electric offers the widest range of BEMS interfaces in the industry including BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, Trend and EIB/KNX for both VRF and split systems.
