The Air and Water CentreAir and Water Centre Portable Air Conditioners Split wall mounted Air Conditioners Evaporative Coolers. www.airandwatercentre.com specialises in supplying a wide range of air
conditioning equipment for use in the home, office and commercial
situation. Portable Air ConditionersA portable air conditioner works by drawing hot air into the unit over a cold evaporator, which contains a low pressure and very cold refrigerant. The air is cooled by the evaporator and then blown out through the front vents while the hot air is expelled through a rear hose. This hose has a square ended fitting to enable it to be positioned through a slightly opened window, door or even a cat-flap. Our range of portable air conditioners is very wide and is constantly being extended with new advanced models. Check out our website via the link above for the latest selection. Outputs range from 8,500btu – 16,000btu models. We offer both single and advanced twin-pipe portable air conditioners. A single pipe air conditioner draws air into the condenser from the room itself and then exhausts some of this air out of a window. In doing this, warm outside air is drawn into the room to replace the vented air. A twin pipe system draws air into the condenser from outside the room leaving the cold room air inside. This decreases the amount of air exchanges the room experiences and makes cooling much more rapid. In fact it's up to twice as quick as a regular single pipe system. Other Features of our Portable Air Conditioners include:
Exhaust hose extension kits are available for all our portable air conditioners along with through-the-wall vent kits to connect the hoses to, enabling you to leave the windows and doors shut. Some of the Portable Air Conditioners that we stock include:Gree KY32 Split Wall-Mounted Air ConditionersFor a more permanent cooling solution we have a wide range of wall-mounted split air conditioning systems. A split air conditioner system comprises two elements - an internal and an external unit. The internal unit is fitted to a metal mounting plate on a wall in the room to be cooled, whilst the external unit is situated outside the building. The two are connected using copper pipe. The external unit, or condensor, removes the heat from the room and dissipates it outside, along with any condensation that's built-up in the system, whilst the internal unit provides cooling. A split air conditioner requires professional installation but offers flexible, attractive, quieter and much more powerful operation than a portable system. Our range of split wall-mounted air conditioners includes models with outputs from 9,000btu to 22,000btu. Features of our wall-mounted air conditioners include:
Evaporative CoolersAn evaporative cooler works on the principal that when water evaporates in air, the air is cooled by the water's lower temperature. Evaporative cooling is ideal for any environment that can be well ventilated, isn’t sensitive to noise and requires around 10oC of cooling. It is also an excellent alternative to refrigerant-based air conditioning for large industrial or commercial areas as the installation and running costs are extremely low. We offer a wide range of evaporative coolers from small units for domestic situations to large industrial portable or installed systems for warehouses, agricultural facilities and manufacturing plants.
