Honeywell produce a wide range of products that are suitable for Community Heating projects and include the following :-
The CM900 energy-saving slimline programmable room thermostat, is now available in a wireless version and provides up to six time/temperature changes per day to match temperatures with lifestyles, and three comfort enhancing, energy-saving overrides at the touch of a button.
It can be used with radiators and underfloor heating, with gas or oil fired boilers including condensing and combination models, as well as electric heating or cooling systems.
TRVs are particularly useful to prevent localised overheating caused by solar gain, electrical appliances, fires and other heat sources. A unique reversible flow design in Honeywell TRVs means they work in either flow direction without any setting-up so they are simpler to install and provide fault-free operation. For commercial applications with higher flow capacities and larger diameter pipes a range of commercial TRVs are available.
A range of mixing valves for both Domestic (TMV2) and Healthcare (TMV3) standards with basic models incorporating a check valve in the connection tailpiece. The valves work by blending hot and cold water to preset temperatures controlled by a thermally sensitive element.
The mechanism can automatically compensate for variations in supply pressures or temperatures within the operational range for the valve and in the event of cold water failure the TMV will automatically shut down the flow to prevent discharge of dangerously hot water.
In England & Wales Building Regulations Part G includes a section on the prevention of scalding. This applies to baths in all new builds, extensions or change of use applications.
Enhanced models have a 4 in 1 tailpiece with built in isolation valve, check valve, strainer and test point for ease of installation and service. Valves are available with 15/22mm compression fitting tailpieces featuring flanged union connections for ease of installation and service. Honeywell can also provide other models of mixing valves for applications where TMV2 or TMV3 approval is not required.
Direct Acting - All Honeywell pressure reducing valves feature a balanced seat design. This ensures that the outlet pressure is maintained constant despite any fluctuation in the inlet pressure and minimizing flow noises.
Reducing the pressure also reduces consumption which conserves natural resources and saves money. Our compact pressure reducing valves, D04FS, D05F and D06F have all been awarded the Waterwise Marque awarded annually to products which reduce water wastage or raise the awareness of water efficiency, e.g. reducing pressure from 6 bar to 3 bar saves 29% water at a tap.
There is a complete range of products available to suit sizes from ½'' to 2'' and flanged PN16 for the larger sizes.
A full range are available which can include the following features :-
Used for measuring, monitoring and billing purposes in heating or cooling applications generally within community heating (district heating) schemes or cooling schemes. Mechanical and Ultrasonic measuring principles are used for measurement in heatmeters. Ultrasonic heatmeters are the preferred method of measurement by Honeywell as they have a smaller least count, lower error range, higher service life and can integrate pulse signals from other meters that can be combined and sent to the Building Management System (BMS).
Flow, size range and output signals from the heatmeters are as follows:
0.6 to 60 m³/hr, DN15 to DN100, display only/ M-Bus output/ Pulse output
0.6 to 60 m³/hr, DN15 to DN100, display only/ M-Bus output/ M-bus + 2 pulse input
