By investing heavily in Research and Development Hitachi has secured a place at the forefront of the industry. Hitachi’s Air Conditioning Range is one of the most extensive available on the market today with unit capacities ranging from 2.0kW high wall split systems to the Hitachi screw compressor chillers of over 1000kW. With products and equipment suitable for a variety of applications, from the domestic conservatory to the modern multi-storey office environment, the versatility of the Hitachi range is second to none.

Hitachi Room Air Conditioning Range (RAC)

Hitachi offers an extensive range of Room Air Conditioning units suitable for domestic and light commercial applications, all operating with R410A refrigerant. The Monozone/Multizone range provides a comprehensive selection of DC inverter PAM mono and multi split systems, maintaining full compatibility of indoor unit throughout the range. The all DC Inverter PAM driven mono split SUMMIT range is available with cooling and heating capacities from 2.0kW to 8.0kW and includes a Hitachi DC Scroll, or DC Twin Rotary compressor which results in high performance and ultimate efficiency. The latest offering in this range is the Hitachi Summit Framed Flat series; it is equipped with, anti bacteria air purifying filters the Hitachi scroll compressor and provides a noise level of just 20dB(A) in sleep mode. The Hitachi range of Room Air Conditioners feature a vast array of significant features all designed with the user in mind!

Utopia Range (IVX & Inverter)

In today's market where energy efficiency is the key, the Utopia Inverter Range offers the perfect solution. The range is available from 5.0 to 30 Kw, for single, twin, triple or quad installation and is compatible with the full range of indoor unit styles. With utilisation of ozone friendly R410A refrigerant as well as the combination of Hitachi's advanced technology, DC inverter compressor and fan motor, PAM control and optimised heat exchanger design, energy efficiency comes as standard.

The award winning IVX Range (20 ~ 30 Kw) not only brings market leading COP’s, but also variable refrigerant flow and independent control to the Utopia Range. A powerful horizontal discharge twin fan outdoor unit suitable for single, twin, triple and quad installations, and uniquely provides individual multi split control. Environmentally the IVX wins also reducing refrigerant, energy input, noise, space and manufacturing impact. The Hitachi Utopia Range offers a choice of nine indoor units (4 way cassette, mini 4 way cassette, 2 way cassette, in-the-ceiling, ceiling suspended, wall, mini wall and floor mounted (cased & uncased) the Utopia range is suitable for every application where quiet, reliable air conditioning is required, with features that include reduced noise levels and advanced diagnostic remote controls to make troubleshooting prompt and simple.

Set Free VRF Systems

Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology was developed to address global concerns and the more complex operating conditions demanded by todays marketplace. Through tremendous investment in research and development, Hitachi is able to offer impressive VRF systems, the Set Free range, incorporating heat pump and heat recovery versions with one of the largest capacity ranges available in the industry from 3HP to 42HP inclusive.

The Set Free Mini (FSVNE) is an extension of the 2-pipe heat pump FSN range offering 3, 4 and 5HP capacities and the added benefits of the DC Inverter technology, providing greater efficiency, higher COP ratings and consequently a shorter cost redemption period. The outdoor units for the Set Free Mini (FSVNE) range are as their name suggest; compact, 33% smaller than the standard 5HP Set Free outdoor unit and of horizontal discharge format. Exceptionally low sound levels are achieved through the combination of DC-driven fan motor, new high stream fan design and the streamlined fan guard and casing. Indoor units are common throughout the Hitachi Set Free & Utopia range, allowing a choice of 9 differing styles, up to 128 of which can be controlled via a CS-Net system centrally.

AquaFREE

Hitachi’s AquaFREE system is a Heat Pump heating system for winter, and a refresh cooling system for summer. The system consists of an Inverter Heat Pump outdoor unit and a hydraulic water module indoor unit. The heat pump absorbs heat from the outside, and transfers it to the water circuit by means of the AquaFREE water module. The AquaFREE system benefits the environment by reducing both energy input and CO2 emissions.

Hitachi CS-Net Web

CS-NET web is a standalone central controller that can control up to 128 indoor units and up to 16 outdoor units connected to the Hitachi H-Link communication system. Using its Ethernet port, CS-NET Web connects to
the Local Area Network or Internet (using a DSL router), allowing remote parameter setting and monitoring. CS-NET web client software is accessed directly through Internet Explorer and uses a Java application for remote control and monitoring.

Air and Water Cooled Chiller Range (R407c)

The Hitachi Samurai Range is available in capacity ranges between 108kW and 1068kW and is manufactured and tested at the state of the art production facility, HAPE, near Barcelona, Spain. Hitachi have undertaken significant investment in further production capacity at the factory and have also installed and commissioned a chiller performance test facility, together with all load generating ancillaries and PC based measurement, recording and reporting capabilities.

The Samurai air-cooled chiller is available in both Cooling Only and Heat Pump options, cooling from 100kW to 1030kW and heat pump from 100kW to 585kW. The Samurai water-cooled chiller is available from 134kW to 700kW and is one of the most efficient water-cooled chillers available today. A key factor enabling such a compact footprint is the use of plate heat exchangers for both the condenser and evaporator. Both air and water-cooled ranges utilise Hitachi’s own highly reliable and efficient twin screw compressor. When combined with Hitachi’s advance electronic control system the Samurai chiller is able to provide full modulation capacity control, therefore allowing the chiller to accurately match the required cooling load while maintaining the leaving water temperature to within +/- 0.5 degrees.
