Heat Recovery Ventilation - Air Cooled Chillers - Heat Recovery
Our corporate statement “Inspire the Next” is a declaration of our vow that the Hitachi brand will continue to meet the expectations of our customers and society in this age of information, knowledge and the empowered consumer.
This statement embodies Hitachi’s commitment to continue to inspire coming generations with the latest products, systems and services, for a more vibrant society. It is also an expression of our strong commitment to boldly face whatever new challenges the times bring us: whatever comes “Next”.
Hitachi is one of the first manufacturers to integrate DC Inverter technology in the construction of heat pumps and using this technology the output for heating a house can be adapted to meet specific requirements. Heat pumps move the heat energy from outside to inside and can heat a room even at low temperatures of up to -20°C. During the hot summer months they work exactly the other way round. In contrast to all other heating systems, this thermodynamic system generates more energy than it uses and as an added bonus it also protects the environment.
Hitachi’s AquaFREE system is a heat pump heating system for winter, and a refresh cooling system for summer. The system consists of an inverter heat pump outdoor unit and a hydraulic water module indoor unit. The heat pump absorbs heat from the outside, and transfers it to the water circuit by means of the AquaFREE water module. The AquaFREE system is available from 8kW to 14kW and benefits the environment by reducing both energy input and CO2 emissions.
Hitachi’s new Yutaki heat pump is the ideal heating solution incorporating integrated features and controls which deliver all the functions of a fully-fledged heating system, making it the ideal replacement for a traditional, boiler-led, set up.
The specially designed room thermostat allows the Yutaki heat pump to be controlled extremely easily: the temperature can be adjusted at any time at the touch of the button and there is the choice of many different programming options to automatically control the temperature. Week and month programmes, weekend modus and night shut-off mode make the Yutaki an extremely energy efficient product. This range has three models from 8kW to 15kW and just like the AquaFREE benefits the environment by reducing both energy input and CO2 emissions.
Based on Hi-toolKit for Business, Hi-ToolKit for Home has been created as selection software for the domestic heating market. Just like Hi-ToolKit for Business this software allows the user to proceed quickly and easily through the phases of selecting a system.
The Hitachi Samurai range is available in capacity ranges between 106kW and 1168kW and is manufactured and tested at the state-of-the art production facility, HAPE, near Barcelona, Spain. Hitachi has undertaken significant investment in further production capacity at the factory and has also installed and commissioned a chiller performance test facility, together with all load generating ancillaries and PC based measurement, recording and reporting capabilities
The Samurai Air Cooled Chiller is available in both cooling only and heat pump options, cooling from 112kW to 1168kW and heat pump from 106kW to 585kW. The Samurai Water Cooled Chiller is available from 134kW to 696kW and is one of the most efficient water cooled chillers available today. The latest addition to the range is the Condenserless Chiller, available in capacities from 120kW to 360kW.
All models incorporate plate heat exchangers which contribute to the range having one of the smallest footprints in the market. The range utilises Hitachi’s world renowned highly reliable and efficient twin screw compressor making the range one of the quietest on the market.
When the compressor is combined with Hitachi’s advance electronic control system the Samurai Chiller is able to provide full modulation capacity control, therefore allowing the chiller to accurately match the required cooling load while maintaining the leaving water temperature to within +/- 0.5 degrees.
Hi-ToolKit for Industry is selection software for the Hitachi range of Samurai Chillers. Simple and easy to use, this software generates customised reports including information on the selected model, EER and ESEER data, performance data, electrical data and part load figures.
The Hitachi Heat Recovery Ventilation system (KPI) adjusts the temperature and humidity of incoming fresh air to match the indoor environment. The new low height KPI units come in a wide range of models with airflows from 500 to 3,000m³/h. The new Econofresh kit is an intelligent accessory device that is easy to install. The Econofresh kit can provide up to 100% fresh air and has the ability to provide “free cooling” through the damper when the outdoor temperature is below the indoor setting temperature. This kit in conjunction with Hitachi’s in-the-ceiling unit will not only maintain the correct room temperature and provide fresh air, but also natural cooling therefore increasing energy savings.
Hitachi systems comply with the European RoHS Directive, which limits the use of certain harmful substances such as lead and mercury. Hitachi is committed to taking back and recycling any end of life products as well any replaced systems. That way, Hitachi fulfils the European WEEE Directive.
