Energy Recovery & Space Saving
Traditional AHUs comprise separate components for heating, cooling
and energy recovery. Only rarely do these function simultaneously – and,
typically, only 35-40% energy recovery efficiency is possible.
With the FW patented Econet system, these functions are linked into a
single component. This not only allows reduced unit length, providing
significant space saving, but up to 75% energy recovery efficiency is
achievable. Running costs are reduced and investment payback time is
shortened. Also, by utilising Indirect Evaporative Cooling [IEC],
required chiller loads can be reduced by up to 50%.
Other energy saving devices available include Thermal Wheels and Heat
Exchangers.
Chillers
Energy saving is also a fundamental design feature of the FW
Climafläkt range of chillers. These are Eurovent and CE certified,
achieving high Energy Efficiency Ratings [EERs] and European Seasonal
Energy Efficiency Ratios [ESEERs]. Savings of up to 25% are achievable,
particularly through high efficiency during part load operating times.

- Low energy consumption

Chilled Beams
The FW Flexicool chilled beam range includes passive convection and
active induction beam options for both flush-mounted false ceiling and
exposed installations.
Fläkt Woods has launched its Flexicool® efficient cassette chilled beam,
known as the IQCA. The IQCA has easy installation, quiet operation and
is easy to maintain.
To maximise comfort for building occupants, FW chilled beams can
incorporate easily adjustable Comfort Control and variable geometry Flow
Pattern Control [FPC] functions. The unique combination of these
features can offer extremely high flexibility in service. They enable
air distribution to be proportionately altered from one side to the
other, and directionally up to 45o. This enables airflow patterns to be
changed to suit zonal needs or adapt to office partitioning.
Axial Fans / Car Park Ventilation
The FW range of technically advanced axial fans offers a
comprehensive choice of solutions for use in commercial, catering,
educational, healthcare, retail, residential, leisure and industrial
environments.
The range includes ATEX compliant options and fans with high temperature
capability. Other types of fans, including boxed and centrifugal fans,
are also available for certain applications in addition to axial
options.
The FW Jet Thrust Fan provides ventilation and instantaneous air
management for enclosed car parks as well as service roads, tunnels,
hangars and larger areas.
On Site Support Services
FW commitment, to optimum efficiency and performance, extends beyond
system installation. Expert support for end-users continues to be
available long-term for AHU’s and whole building ventilation systems
via:
- Condition monitoring of AHU systems & Fans
- Dynamic balancing
- Tailored maintenance contracts
