Energy Recovery & Space Saving
Traditional AHUs comprise separate components for
heating, cooling and energy recovery. Only rarely do these function
simultaneously – and, typically, only 35-40% energy recovery
efficiency is possible.
With the FW patented Econet system, these
functions are linked into a single component. This not only allows
reduced unit length, providing significant space saving, but up to
75% energy recovery efficiency is achievable. Running costs are
reduced and investment payback time is shortened. Also, by utilising
Indirect Evaporative Cooling (IEC), required chiller loads can be
reduced by up to 50%.
Other energy saving devices available include
thermal wheels and heat exchangers.
Chillers
Energy saving is also a fundamental design
feature of the FW Climafläkt range of chillers. These are Eurovent
and CE certified, achieving high Energy Efficiency Ratings (EERs)
and European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratios (ESEERs). Savings of
up to 25% are achievable, particularly through high efficiency
during part load operating times.

Chilled Beams
The NEW IQ Star Stella free-hanging multi-service
chilled beam is now available characterised by modularity,
flexibility, sustainability and energy efficiency. The aluminium
profiled beam incorporates an array of integrated features ranging
from direct/indirect lighting with either satin louvered or the new
prismatic diffuser options, PIRs, smoke detectors, speakers and
sprinklers.
Thanks to pioneering nozzle technology and smart
controls, the air flow is always sufficient and adapted to suit
requirements. Stella’s modularity, Flow Pattern Control and Energy
Control functions allow flexibility within the office layout. Good
indoor air quality is achievable despite organisational changes and
renovations without the need to change the installation.
Because occupancy levels within a typical office
can vary from day to day even from hour to hour, Stella’s smart
control panel with Normal, Energy Saving and Boost modes enables
easy adjustment of the air flow. This means that whether an office
or meeting room is empty or crowded, the Stella beam provides
sufficient air flow. Not only does it save a lot of energy when the
room is not in use, it also keeps the employees comfortable.
Axial Fans/Car Park Ventilation
The FW range of technically advanced axial fans
offers a comprehensive choice of solutions for use in commercial,
catering, educational, healthcare, retail, residential, leisure and
industrial environments.
The range includes ATEX compliant options and
fans with high temperature capability. Other types of fans,
including boxed and centrifugal fans, are also available for certain
applications in addition to axial options.
The FW Jet Thrust Fan provides ventilation and
instantaneous air management for enclosed car parks as well as
service roads, tunnels, hangars and larger areas.
