Pipe2000 Ltd Underfloor Heating PEX Polyethylene Pipes
Underfloor Heating & Cooling System
UFH/UFC can be installed in a variety of floor constructions – many
of which are detailed on our website. In solid floors the pipe is
enclosed within a screed. Many floor finishes can then be applied over
the screed. Specially moulded polystyrene panels and metal heat emission
plates can be used where a low height, overlay system is required. Also
common are floors of timber construction.
Projects
We supply schools, universities, care homes, office buildings,
apartment developments and larger individual houses. There is increasing
demand for UFH/UFC fed from heat pumps.
Products
We use long-life PE-Xa pipe, factory-assembled distribution manifolds
and electrical controls to ensure efficient installation and reliable
operation. Floor insulation is standard sheet or specially manufactured
boards.
Services
We offer advice to users and specifiers at the design stage and
prepare estimates based on the requirement. When we receive an order, we
will prepare layout drawings and calculations. Materials can be supply
only or we are generally able to offer an installation service (England
and Wales). In the South East and East Anglia we can offer to provide
flowing anhydrite screeds where appropriate.
Warranty
The Pe-Xa pipe carries an insurance backed manufacturer’s warranty.
Pre-insulated Mains Pipes Systems
Flexible, pre-insulated piping systems using PE-X, Stainless Steel or
Copper for the reliable, below ground transportation of fluids at
various temperatures and pressures. Pipe is generally supplied in coils
to the required length.
Projects
District Heating Systems, Energy Centres, remote boiler houses,
replacement of worn out steel mains.
Products incl. Calpex PEX Polythene Pipes
Calpex® PE-X pipes offer substantial savings over more conventional
rigid pipe systems requiring joints and the application of insulation
and protection jackets on site. Calpex® can be installed more quickly
than conventional systems promising substantial reductions on overall
installation costs.
Calpex® pipes use a cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X) material that has
excellent physical properties which meets the demands of long-life
heating and cooling. PE-X will not corrode and is chemically very stable
and free from environmentally damaging substances.
The factory applied thermal insulation consists of non-polluting CFC and
HCFC free flexible foam with excellent thermal insulation properties (up
to 25% better than other polyethylene foam materials).
In many cases, there is no need for connections below ground, so only a
narrow trench is required (up to 65% narrower than a conventional rigid
steel pipe excavation). A Significant reduction in installation work on
site can result – many installations can be completed in a day.

Eigerflex ranges are available at our website.
