ActionairActionair is the market leader in smoke, fire and air control dampers serving the Heating and Ventilating market for over 25 years. In addition to the damper range, Actionair provide the damper control systems offering pre-programmed smoke control strategy defined by the client. Fan Coil Units with either Airside or Waterside Control for horizontal or vertical application selected to project requirements are available manufactured from our Whitstable, Kent factory. Smoke/Shield PTCActionair has the lead in the field of fire and smoke control with the range of Smoke/Shield PTC dampers. The range, which features Proportional Torque Control brings to the market a host of improvements and sets the standard for smoke control dampers. The Smoke/Shield PTC range is a LPCB approved product and is fully compliant and tested to the new British (BS ISO 10294-1&2) and European (EN1366-2) Fire Damper Test Standards. The dampers have also proved to meet the low gas/smoke leakage and fire integrity requirements of classification ES. The control modes have been designed to offer carefully optimised torque performance for the dampers they operate. On site connection sets a new industry standard for simplicity. The unique drive interface requires only a snap fit to secure the control mode assembly firmly in position. The system is compatible with square, rectangular, circular and flat oval ductwork. Hot/Shield PTCHot/Shield PTC dampers are intended for installation in high temperature ductwork systems with mechanical smoke extraction. When the dampers are closed they are compliant to BS 476 Part 20 Fire Damper Test Standards. When used for smoke extraction under authorised control, the damper will remain operable under electrical power for a period of 1 hour at a temperature of up to 300ºC, thus permitting safe extraction of smoke and hot gases through the extended fire compartment created by the fire rated ductwork. Hot/Shield PTC dampers may also be used for controlled supply of makeup air as the function of a fire engineering system. Actionpac Damper Control SystemActionair continues in new technology for control of fire and smoke with the purpose designed Actionpac LNS Addressable Control System for smoke and fire dampers. The PC driven system, based on LonWorks Network Service offers state of the art in the control of this type of building services equipment. Effective control is essential; fire experts have long recognised the danger caused by smoke spreading through buildings. To prevent possible loss of human life and damage to the building structure the Actionpac LNS system is designed to perform a number of essential functions in the event of fire. These include effective compartmentalisation of fire zones and smoke extract by combined operation of dampers and fans. Actionpac LNS systems represent a new generation of open interoperable smoke/fire control, simplifies installation and commissioning of smoke and fire dampers and peripheral and linked devices. A-60 MarineActionair has, for many years, been associated in the design, development and manufacture of life safety equipment, including the supply of fire damper products to the offshore and marine industry. The Actionair A-60 Fire Damper has been specifically engineered to meet new stringent legislation. This addition to Actionair’s comprehensive range of automatic fire and smoke dampers and associated controls, provides the complete solution for shipboard air conditioning and ventilation systems fire safety engineering strategies. ES RangeActionair has developed a new heavy duty range of air control and system balancing dampers. The ES35, ES36 and ES50 low torque dampers are available in rectangular, circular and flat oval spigotted casing as well as rectangular flanged type frame. The ES50 aluminium aerofoil bladed damper provides low closed blade leakage to EN1751 class 3 (based upon 1m x 1m damper). Fan Coil UnitsActionair has a range of Waterside and Airside fan coil units available for horizontal or vertical applications. Outputs available up to 8kW cooling and heating. Fans are resiliently mounted, direct driven, forward curved centrified with high efficiency, low noise criteria. Motors are totally enclosed external rotor with a minimum life expectancy of 50,000 hours. All fan coil units feature a tapped transformer plus pure sine wave adjustment for truly accurate commissioning, and enabling a high degree of accuracy to be achieved in matching individual unit performance to project requirements.
