Daikin Applied Systems

Daikin’s extended range of air and water-cooled liquid chillers (nom. capacities 5kW to 1.9kW), include inverter and/or “stepless” compressor technology for improved capacity control and greater part load efficiencies.

Water-cooled 13kW ~ 1920kW over 230 Models

Air-cooled 5kW ~ 1893kW over 80 Models

Compressors

Daikin’s high-capacity chillers incorporate semi-hermetic stepless screw compressors, offering capacity control between 15% and 100%. Daikin’s screw compressors only require service inspections at 40,000 hr intervals. The smaller of Daikin chillers are designed around scroll hermetic inverter controlled compressors.

Characteristics:

Optimal performance through stepless capacity control in function of the chilled water temperature. The unit capacity is infinitely variable from 30-100% of single circuit units and 15-100% on dual circuit units.

Compact, simple, yet robust.

Using a main single screw and two gate rotors, axial and radial forces are balanced thanks to the symmetrical compression guaranteeing low bearing loads.

Renowned for its low noise levels the double walled casing design and integrated oil separator, add to the attenuation effect.

D.I.C.N Chiller Network

Daikin Chillers are compatible with BMS interfaces, BacNet Gateway, LonWorks and MODBUS.

Standard Anti-Corrosion Treatment

All Daikin air cooled chiller condensers include anti-corrosion treatment. This treatment significantly increases resistance to corrosion in urban and coastal applications.

Extensive Range of Space Air/Daikin Accessories

As a Daikin distributor, Space Air has developed a range of more than 500 accessory items, complementing Daikin’s range of heat pumps, air conditioning and applied systems. They are designed and manufactured in-house, can be factory fitted or supplied loose. Space Air’s accessories are renowned for meeting exact requirements, enabling single source procurement simplifying installation time and reducing costs.

Daikin Inverter Control

The frequency inverter control in Daikin systems substantially reduces energy consumption compared to non-inverter types. The inverter improves performance relative to power input, ensures a more even room temperature and eliminates power surges and stop/start cycles. Inverter technologies maximise operating efficiency, so important in these times of environmental consciousness and the need to reduce carbon emissions.

Daikin Control Systems

A comprehensive range of advanced controls to complement Daikin air conditioning systems.

The I-Manager is a computerised control system for Daikin's VRV systems, operating up to 1024 indoor units and allowing precise control, simple settings and operating functions.

The Intelligent Touch Controller is a stand alone, plug and play system operating up to 2 groups of 64 indoor units at the touch of the screen.

The Daikin DS-net intelligent monitoring control system can give the facilities manager access and control to 50 sites.
