temperature of 55ºC.
Advanced System: 50ºC - 65ºC Variable Temperature Maintenance.

Raychem Advanced Frost Protection of Mechanical Services
Heating Cable Insulation Selection
Consult the selection matrix below to chose the correct Raychem heating
cable and insulation schedule in order to provide frost protection for
all exposed water service pipework.
Note: 1. FS-A-2X and FS-B-2X heating tape has a maximum exposure
temperature of 65ºC and is therefore suited for frost protection on all
exposed cold water pipework.
2. FS-C-2X heating tape has a maximum exposure temperature of 95ºC and
is therefore suited for frost protection on all exposed hot water
Pipework.
The above tables assume the use of a 230V electrical supply, glassfibre/mineral
wool insulation (K=0.036W/mK) and metallic pipework, unless otherwise
stated. (Plastic pipework should be used in conjunction with aluminium
fixing tape). Where different design conditions apply, for either hot
water maintenance or frost protection, please contact the office below:
