EXP Systems – Excellence in Polyvalent Technology

Applications of EXP Systems

The EXP System designed and patented by Rhoss, has been developed to satisfy chilled and hot water demands simultaneously or independently with one single unit according to the operating mode chosen, AUTOMATIC or SELECT. It will operate with a 2 or 4 pipe system at any time of the year.

How does the EXP System work?

The evolutionary microprocessor control, manages the two EXP Systems operating modes, AUTOMATIC and SELECT, satisfying the demands for of 2 or 4 pipe systems.

  • AUTOMATIC provides for the simultaneous or separate production of chilled & hot water, in a completely automatic mode
  • SELECT provides for the production of hot water & heating water on the basis of system demands & the priorities assigned by the user

2 Pipe Systems

  • Air conditioning & the production of hot water in a 2 pipe system is a typical application in hotels, hospitals, sports centres & hospitality structures in general
  • EXP Systems in AUTOMATIC mode is used in the summer months for cooling & the production of hot water
  • EXP Systems in SELECT mode is used in between seasons or in winter for heating & the production of hot water on the basis of the priority assigned

4 Pipe Systems

Increasingly frequently, modern HVAC installations require the simultaneous production of hot and chilled water. This can occur more often because of:

  • The development of new types of thermal insulation for buildings
  • An increase in internal loads, CED, WEB etc
  • Higher capacity lighting systems
  • The presence of large sealed non opening glazing units
  • The growing importance attributed to air quality, which requires the use of air conditioning systems, heating & cooling, throughout the year

In these situations, EXP Systems can be used in AUTOMATIC mode throughout the year, providing for simultaneous or separate hot and chilled water demands, feeding cooling or heating systems in a completely automatic way.
