Hiross Flexible Space Underfloor Air Conditioning

Advantages to the Mechanical Engineer:

  • Simple Design Procedure
  • Proven energy saving compared to VAV & Fancoils
  • High Standards of indoor air quality
  • Each user can control their own microclimate & still remain Part L compliant
  • Individual zone control results in much reduced energy usage
  • System demands minimal use of lateral ducting & pipework
  • Suitable for multi-tenanted operation

Advantages to the Builder & Contractor:

So long as riser cores are complete, air conditioning equipment need not be selected and installed until office layouts are defined.

Where suspended ceilings are unnecessary, construction programmes will be reduced.

Since fantile terminals require only electrical connections, and since CAM zone units serve large areas, amounts of pipework are significantly reduced, thus further reducing construction programmes.

Advantages to the User:

Individual local control of temperature and fan-speed settings.

Ease and speed of office rearrangement.

Speed and economy when installing additional discharge terminals.

Standard integrated controls provide comprehensive monitoring and adjustment facilities.

Full IP controls and remote monitoring available.

There are two types of Hiross Flexible Space Underfloor Air Conditioning Systems:

  • Conditioned Air Module (CAM)
    - Floor supply / Floor return
    - Constant air volume system
  • HIVAR
    - Variable air volume
    - Floor supply
    - Room / ceiling return

Low fan underfloor airconditioning

Air is entrained into the vertical plume from the Fantile, so draughts are low velocity and at room temperature for extreme comfort. Fanspeeds are low for energy saving.

Commercial Fresh Air systems

A Hiross FA7 Fresh Air Module may be used to introduce fresh air into the return air plenum either directly or with ducts from a central fresh air supply.
