With our Hot Press Moulding facilities, we ensure a total control and responsibility for all the manufacturing stages, from procurement of raw materials and production, right through to final commissioning of installation. We invested in Hot Press Moulding Technology which involves placing a charge of Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) into a matched steel mould at a closely controlled temperature of 145°C. The charge is then pressed, at 1250 tonnes, resulting in the following benefits:

Internally Flanged Tanks

Where access on site is restricted an Aquastow internally flanged tank may be the answer. Aquastow internally flanged tanks offer the same bracing design as standard tanks.

Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC)

Our long experience and expertise in Hot Press Moulding and plastics technology has lead to the continuing development of our Sheet Moulding Compound (S.M.C.) for Aquastow tank panel manufacture. This formula has proven both its reliability and its durability in diverse locations and climatic conditions across the globe. Specially formulated for effective performance the S.M.C. is a precise mixture of chemical grade Isophthalic Polyester resin, glass fibre, catalyst, U.V. stabilisers, pigment and filler. Aquastow ’s S.M.C. formulation produces additional panel benefits.
