The WEEE Directive
In Germany and Denmark around 80% to 90% of construction waste is recycled - a
much higher level than in the UK. However, this is slowly beginning to
change. The Government has introduced landfill tax, aggregates levy and
other waste management regulations. One of these is the Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations which came into force in January
2007. The seminar covers a detailed description of maintenance of air
conditioning, and the WEEE Directive.
