Solutions for a safer working environment
Safetyworks and Solutions Ltd were founded in 1999 as a manufacturer
and installer of permanent freestanding and mechanically fixed roof top barrier
systems. (Clamp type) With their own in house manufacturing and design facility
Safetyworks and Solutions Ltd soon moved into the manufacture of bespoke ladders
and other light steel fabrication for safe access in, and around buildings.
Again
with further client demand our product range was extended with the addition of
walkways, both manufactured in house, and bought in for other applications. In
2000, Safetyworks and Solutions Ltd moved away from traditional stainless steel
horizontal lifelines and became one of Uniline’s first approved installers with
their revolutionary coloured 16mm system (which has now been complimented with
an 18mm stainless steel wire system).
Safetyworks & Solutions Ltd provide
complete solutions for safe access in and around buildings, and as an installer
of both passive and reactive systems, will always offer impartial advice as to
the most cost effective means to ensure total safe access is achieved. Safetyworks
and Solutions Ltd provide a contract installation service for clients with specific
needs and requirements.

Handrails or barriers
- fixed and free standing
Easyguard - permanent freestanding
handrails for both retrofit and new build. Easyguard is non-penetrative (freestanding)
alleviating the need for weatherproofing around posts and eliminating the risk
of future leaks associated with penetrative systems, and also weatherproofing
costs.
Easyguard is flatfooted and slides easily underneath rooftop obstructions
therefore providing minimal trip hazard.
Easyguard is galvanised to BS/EN
1461, and is also available powder coated, again over galvanised steel, to ensure
the longevity of the system and it's coating.
Easyguard's base plates are
fitted with bonded ribbed rubber mats, which include an EPDM foam infill. The
foam infill reduces heat transference to the roof membrane therefore reducing
membrane degradation.
Easyguard is adjustable by up to 250mm, and is levelled
to the line of the building and against the falls of the roof improving the aesthetics
from ground level.
Easyguard (non-penetrative system) is designed to BS/EN/SR
15 1988, and compliant to BS6180 for maintenance use, BS6399 Part 2.
Easyguard
is ideal for perimeter hand railing or for designation of access ways (escape
routes etc).
New asphalt roofs may require tiles beneath base assemblies to
prevent the system from sinking, with advice sought from your asphalt manufacturer.
Fixed Rails - Heavier duty rails can be designed to meet most
loads, and comply with BS 6180.
Fixed rails to both vertical and horizontal
faces of parapet walls or up stands for applications where a Permanent Free Standing
Handrail will not suffice.
Horizontal Lifelines - We supply
and install two types of lifelines, Uniline and Uni-8 and will advise you on the
most appropriate (Fall Arrest or Fall Restraint) and cost effective system.
Access
& Cat ladders - Safetyworks & Solutions Ltd are manufacturers and installers
of bespoke ladders and access equipment to the construction industry, and for
refurbishment and updating of existing buildings. New steel ladders can be manufactured
and supplied with cage or arrest systems for permanent access for routine maintenance,
to BS5395 To BS/EN 5683 in mild steel galvanised to BS/EN 1461 available with
cages, and if required, security doors.
Railok - Installed on
new and existing ladders. The system is universal and will fit most steel ladders
and prevent the user from falling either down or off the ladder.
Modem
Ladders - Modem Ladders can be installed virtually anywhere.
