Un-finished solid Oak Flooring

Product Details:

Boards supplied in random lengths of 1000 – 2800mm
Tongue and grooved on all four sides
Kiln dried to 8 – 12%
Made to structural specification for fitting over joists (20mm thick)
High planning tolerance to ensure minimum sanding
Allows for a wide variety of finishes to be applied such as oil, wax, lacquer or more esoteric techniques
Suitable for fitting over a wide variety of sub floors

Pre-finished solid Oak Flooring

Product Details:

High Grade Character 18mm Pre-finished, solid oak flooring
Available in 90mm, 110mm, 130mm and 150mm interchangeable widths
Tongue and grooved on all four sides
Micro bevelled edges
Kiln dried to 8 – 12% moisture content
High abrasion resistant German Treffert lacquer system. 8 coats on the top face and 6 on the base provides an excellent vapour barrier for use in areas such as bathrooms and kitchens
20 year lacquer guarantee under normal usage conditions
Random lengths of 400 – 1800mm
130mm supplied in cardboard plastic rapped packs of 2.6 m2
150mm supplied in cardboard plastic rapped packs of 1.890 m2
Structural specification for laying onto joists
Extremely fine engineering tolerances allow rapid installation
Fine grain structure and superb Character face features
Suitable for laying onto a wide variety of subfloors
Avoids sanding dust and lacquer fumes during installation

Fitting Service

Installing a stable and durable solid wooden floor requires quality materials and expert fitting. It is crucial that ambient conditions are checked before a wooden floor is installed as an area with high humidity or moisture is liable to cause swelling and consequent movement.

Our fitting teams are vastly experienced in fitting wooden floors in a diverse range of situations from barn conversions and stately homes, to London penthouse flats and cottages.

In addition, we also offer a unique staircase service. Very often a carpeted staircase looks out of place once a floor has been installed, our solution is to clad the staircase in the same material as the flooring. Our fitters make bespoke tread mouldings on site to blend in with the surrounding space, creating a wonderful feature in itself and for a fraction of the cost of a solid hardwood staircase.
