MPI have been specialist sprayed insulation contractors
since 1969. The Company manufacturers, supplies and installs urethane foam systems
which can be used in a variety of applications.
Most systems are covered by
BBA Certificates and British Standards.
Urethane foam combines the benefits
of the highest levels of insulation commercially available with rapid application.
The versatility of foam means it can be used for roof sealing, weatherproofing,
insulation, cold storage and pipelines. The MPI system can be applied to virtually
any surface including asbestos, slate, timber, brick, concrete, metal and glass.
Entire areas can be completely sealed with no joints anywhere, creating an attractive
and durable finish.

Polyspray - Internal & External spray foam
insulation systems which can incorporate protective coatings if required.
Cavity
Wall Stabilisation Foams (CRF) - Injection grade rigid urethane foams
for structural stabilisation/insulation of cavity walls.
Marine & Buoyancy
- Spray injection systems for insulation and buoyancy applications.
Condensation
Control - Spray foam insulation in accordance with BS 5250 to convert
roofs to 'warm-roof' construction for condensation control.
Protective
Coatings - Sprayed polyurethane & Polyurea coatings. Seamless, tough highly
resistant coatings for tank and bund lining, protection of steel and concrete,
abrasion resistant and high performance coating.
Spraydon -
Sprayed mineral fibre for Fire & Thermal insulation.
Pirthane 'O' -
Class O fire rated composite of a specially modified foam, overcoated with an
intumescent coating. Typically used for car par soffits and internal ceilings.
Environmental Considerations
When considering insulation systems, consideration
should also be given to the Environment. BRE paper IP 2/93 outlines considerations
to be made when refurbishment projects are carried out.
British Steel Engineering
had several of their roof bays weatherproofed and insulated using Sprayed Foam
and Elastomeric weather coating applied externally. The project was monitored
before and after application by the D.O.E. (BRECSU) and on this 20,000 + m2 roof,
the payback period was calculated at 2.4 years.
In addition, the C02 emission
savings have now been calculated and amount to savings of 90kg of C02 per sq.
metre per year.

will help Industrial Energy users meet their responsibilities.
