Since 1969, Modern Plan Insulation have been specialist sprayed insulation
contractors. MPI manufacturer, supply & install urethane foam systems which can be used in a variety of
applications.
Most systems are covered by BBA Certificates and
British Standards.
The MPI system can be applied to virtually any
surface including slate, asbestos, timber, brick, concrete, glass &
metal and combines the benefits of the highest levels of
insulation commercially available with rapid application Urethane
foam has the versatility of foam means it can be used for
weatherproofing, roof sealing, insulation, pipelines & cold storage. Entire areas can be
completely sealed with no joints anywhere, creating an attractive
& durable finish.

Services/Treatments available include:-
Polyspray - Internal & External spray foam
insulation systems which can incorporate protective coatings if
required. You can apply Polyspray to any thickness to achieve
desired 'U' values & it adheres tenaciously to virtually any
substrate. Once applied, the Polyspray is basically inert & when
protected correctly, wil last for ever.
Cavity Wall Stabilisation Foams (CRF) -
Injection grade rigid urethane foams for structural
stabilisation/insulation of cavity walls. The foam is fluid
when injected, but quickly expands & hardens to completely fill the
entire void within the cavity. Because the cavity is completely
filled, the wall is stabilised over its entire area.
Marine & Buoyancy - Spray injection
systems for insulation and buoyancy applications. Once applied, the
system is seamless & monolithic with no joints for cold bridging to
occur.
Condensation Control - Combinations of
either Vapour Barrier coatings or Breather Coatings & Polyspray can
be used to eliminate condensation. Using their Computer Software,
MPI can design a system to beat condensation. In accordance with BS
5250, condensation risk analysis & 'U' value calculations are
available, we just need your existing construction & internal
temperatures & humidity.
Protective Coatings - MPI can design
systems for most applications using the best coating for the
application. Seamless, tough highly resistant coatings for tank &
bund lining, protection of steel and concrete, abrasion resistant
and high performance coating.
Pirthane 'O' - Class 'O' fire rated
composite of a specially modified foam, overcoated with an
intumescent coating. Typically used for car par soffits and internal
ceilings, the benefits include low thermal conductivity, light
weight, able to withstand wind suction and vibration and its closed
cell properties mean that it will resist water absorption.
Acoustic Fibre - MPI are approved
installers of the Monoglass & Thermoacoustic sprayed glass fibre
systems, comprising of an inorganic & non-combustible white glass
fibre and polymer binder which can be applied to virtually any
substrate as a thermal & acoustic insulation in ceiling, wall and
soffit application.
Environmental Considerations
Consideration should also be given to the
Environment when considering insulation systems. BRE paper IP
2/93 outlines considerations to be made when refurbishment projects
are carried out.
