Paving Products

Grass Concrete have a complete range of systems and are able to offer the most ‘appropriate’ product rather than just the most ‘available’.

There are no formal quality standards in place for grass paving systems and many companies make a number of performance claims. Grass Concrete have a long history of supply and installation and are able to offer the most workable solutions dependent upon the environment and loading scenario.

In recent years ‘sustainable urban drainage’ systems gave grown in popularity but Grass Concrete Ltd have been supporting and publishing papers on the subject for over 30 years. They have a network of licencees serving the Grasscrete cast-on-site system that remains very much the leader in grass paving technology.

Greenroofing Systems

Green roofing technology, or grass roofing systems offer a significant benefit to our environment and have become an ‘everyday’ specification on many new building projects and partly been made so popular by the simplicity of the system and its installation.

Using a dry fixed legged paving unit the Grasscrete system may be quickly and simply installed over existing or new roof membranes. This enables grass rooftops to be specified across a full range of projects.

The grassroof system can offer many benefits:

• Efficient surface water run-off reducing the potential for flooding
• Reduction in noise – soundproofing
• Protects the underlying roof membrane from the effects of weather

The grass rooftop system combines paving and drainage. Their cellular structures are fixed to the roofing membrane and infilled with lightweight aggregate. The underside is bonded geo-textile creating a micro-porus barrier than retains the soil but allows water to pass through into voided drainage systems below, thereby enabling rainwater harvesting.

Retaining Walls

Grass Concrete offer the Betoconcept range of dry-building systems for noise control and earth retention. This interlocking system enables quick construction and offers a plantable stone finish available in a range of colours.

Their Binwall range offers ideal bin-storage solutions. It is dry-built and demountable and makes a great choice for waste recycling, waste transfer and bulk storage solutions.
