An introduction to a company with a difference
Land and Waterscapes Ltd are a company specialising in the construction of lakes and golf courses.

Formally known as P. J. Ingham, this is a small company with a wealth of experience, who are committed to provide a personal individual service to suit you. Their aim is to help the client, achieve the result that they want.
With over 14 years experience and hundreds of completed projects, they have the capability and experience to design, advise, plan and complete a clients project. The company is experienced in working with architects, green keepers and in sensitive environmental areas.

Golf Course Construction - Golf Course Design
Land and Waterscapes's expertise in shaping the landscape sympathetically has led them to work on numerous golf courses throughout the U.K, from the management and building of championship courses through to the extension and refurbishment of individual holes on ‘in play’ courses. Although Land and Waterscapes is a small company they are able to work closely with the Architect and Head Greens Keeper, ensuring the project is completed within the agreed timescale, and budget.

Recently they have been involved in the extension and refurbishment of existing golf courses, where it has been essential to be sensitive while working on ‘in play’ parts of the course.

Lakes and Water Features - Construction Landscape
Over the last 14 years the company has constructed some 200 water areas, ranging from garden ponds to fisheries and reservoirs. During this period the company has become specialised in water areas for the private property owner. Their ability to provide a service which works closely with the client and their experience of golf course construction helps ensures a finish, which complements and blends in with the existing surroundings.

Certain projects may require the use of a liner if existing soil conditions are not suitable and we specialise in the use of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Butyl and Bentonite liners. When situations require the use of a liner, they can still obtain a natural finish by sensitive landscaping.

Lakes and ponds can be further improved by the addition of water features in the form of natural stone waterfalls and gentle cascades. Land and Waterscapes ltd. specialise in the design and build of garden lakes with natural stone waterfalls. Their experience has shown the addition of a waterfall helps circulate the water within the lake and improve oxygen levels, which generally helps improve the clarity of still waters.

Although they can design and build waterscapes to the client’s requirement, they are always pleased to work to the design of others and have recently undertaken work via contract, of a large angling lake at Filham Park, Ivybridge, Devon. This project was a partnership between Ivybridge Town Council and Plymouth & District Course Angling Club.
