significantly reduces the hazards of flying glass, reducing disfiguring injuries,

To comply with safety and legal
requirements, all glass in 'critical' locations must be made impact safe. Whether
these are areas of internal or external walls, doors or partitioning, they must
be provided with protection against injury from broken glass. The cost-effective

Health & Safety Executive recommendations (Regulation 14), where old glass may
be frail and particularly vulnerable.
