Switchgear Metering and Upgrade Protection
SEL offer an upgrade service for protection and metering on all types of switchgear
including retrofitting of new current transformers and protection / metering
cabinets for all applications.
Transformer and Switchgear
Refurbishment
SEL offer the facility to carry out full refurbishment and upgrading of customer
owned transformers and switchgear ranging from 415volts to 33000volts. The
service department offers the facility to uplift equipment from site, transport
to SEL works and undertake complete refurbishment along with required modifications
i.e. to replace old electro-mechanical protection schemes with K range and
Micom equivalents. The company subscribes to the Electricity Association National
Equipment Defect Reporting Scheme and as such is aware of all incidents and
recommended remedial actions to be followed. Customers are advised of all
modifications and test certificates are issued on completion. A warranty is
offered on the completed work, although not on the equipment.
Installation
SEL specialises in the installation, removal, modification, improvement and
re-commissioning of HV and LV switchgear, transformers and associated cabling.

Maintenance
SEL will also operate and maintain a network on your behalf. A range of agreements
that can be tailored to suit your needs are offered. The services that can
be built into the agreement include:
* Developing a maintenance regime to suit your installation
* Providing a 24 hour emergency service in case of equipment failure
* Carrying out routine inspections of your system and equipment
*Introducing and carrying out operational practices on your system
* Regular non intrusive testing, to ensure the good health of your system
* Fault diagnosis and location
* Repairs to your system
* Compiling and revising network diagrams for your distribution electrical

Project Management
SEL provides project management of turnkey packages and specialised electrical
engineering services.
