Safety film safety glass window tinting window film
CPFilms is the world’s largest
manufacturer of performance window film and has worldwide expertise,
fully guaranteed products, registered to BS EN ISO 9000 standards
and a full and comprehensive technical helpline. Uniquely, it has a
window film manufacturing resource in the UK – at Runcorn in
Cheshire – as well as the US, at Martinsville, Virginia, and Canoga
Park, California USA.
CPFilms is a pioneer in coating and laminating
flexible performance films, setting quality standards which are
guaranteed. Llumar® performance films, designed for professional
application to primarily window glass, use the highest grade of
optically clear polyester as base material. Patented processes for
deep-dyeing and adding the toughest scratch resistant coating on the
market are also incorporated into Llumar® performance film
manufacture. Advanced engineering techniques are used to deposit
micro-thin layers of metal alloys to give Llumar® performance films
their energy control and other properties. Certain “combination”
films are designed to deliver two or more performance properties
simultaneously, e.g. both safety and solar protection, and fade
reduction. For superior performance in solar control applications,
Llumar® performance films feature the CPFilms, patented CDF (Clear
Distortion Free) adhesive system to give lower distortion and a
longer lasting installation. Llumar® performance
window film is designed for application to windows to enhance the
performance of the glass for a variety of purposes including safety
and security, protection from solar heat and glare, reducing fading
of fabrics, insulation against winter heat loss, provision of
privacy or simply a visually attractive finish. Each film is fully
warranted by CPFilms. Safety/Security and Bomb Blast Protection (Anti
Shatter Film)
In terms of security and safety, films are available which achieve
Classes A & B of BS 6206 and the more demanding European impact
performance requirements of BS EN 12600 Classes 1B and 2B.
Similarly, for security purposes certain films achieve DIM 52290
Part 4. Stress type A1, Anti-bandit testing (equivalent test BS
5544). Films offer safety/security against breakages resulting from
explosions, break-ins, accidents and storms. Safety window films to
BS 6206 and BS EN 12600 will upgrade plain float glass to meet the
requirements of Regulation 14 of the workplace (Health Safety and
Welfare) Regulations 1992. Current Home Office recommendations on
“Bombs and Protecting People” recommend the use of ASF (Anti shatter
film). For ultimate protection the use of the appropriate grade of
safety film together with the LLumar® Framelok edge retention system
is recommended.
Solar Protection Films
The principal function of such window films is to
reflect back the worst of the suns heat and glare. An extensive
range of tinted and reflective films offers a wide choice of
performance properties, together with aesthetic options.
In addition some solar control window films can provide effective
electromagnetic radiation shielding. Shade Films
(for use in roller blinds)
As an alternative to the permanency of installed
solar control window film the range of shade film blind options
combine the performance of window films with the flexibility of
window blinds. These significantly reduce the build-up of solar heat
and glare, whilst allowing high levels of light transmission during
daylight hours. Shade film at the heart of a blind system will also
effectively screen out harmful UV. Flexibility with maximum solar
protection. Fade Protection Films
A range of films specifically developed to reduce
fading of artefacts, furnishings and fabrics by reducing UV,
infra-red and visible light. Insulation Films
The range of Low Emissivity films (Low E) are a
film for all seasons providing insulation in winter months and solar
protection in summer months, improve comfort levels and reduce
heating costs. Privacy Films
This range of films prevents outsiders from
seeing through the glass, whilst still allowing light to enter the
building. These films can also change the aesthetics of the glazing
and create a whole new effect. Decorative Films
These films are designed for internal partitions
or any glazed surface and provide levels of privacy as well as some
creative and aesthetically pleasing decorative designs.
Anti-graffiti Film
This film has been developed to offer a complete
surface protection system for glazed and smooth surfaces that are
vulnerable to damage, vandalism and unwanted graffiti. CPFilms
unique scratch resistant coating provides a tough barrier to the
un-wanted graffiti artist. Supply & Installation
