Flexible Conduit Systems
Shureseal™ is a premium system of conduit and fittings to IP67, for
applications where excellent performance under harsh conditions is
critical, e.g. petrochemical, machine tools. The high quality
construction is delivered through an overlapping, interlocking
galvanised steel core with plastic coating.
Coatings are suitable for oil resistance, extreme temperatures or where
zero halogen and UL94V-0 flammability rating is required. Fittings are
available for NPT, PG, ISO metric and imperial threads in a choice of:
straight, chase, 45º and 90º to suit a variety of applications.
Shureflex™ metallic conduit and fittings offer an economic solution for
the protection of cables for industrial and commercial applications.
Offered either as covered or uncovered, Shureflex™ conduit has high
crush resistance with excellent pull-off strength. Applications include:
lighting, CCTV cameras, underfloor wiring.
Insulate, Protect & Identify with Shrink-Kon® heatshrink
Thomas & Betts offers a full line heatshrink product range. This
includes thin wall for general electrical applications, medium and thick
wall for external and utility applications, preformed shapes such as end
caps for sealing cable ends and breakouts for cable joints.
Termination Systems
Sta-Kon® and Color Keyed® termination systems
- Terminals for wires/cables from 0.25mm² up to 500mm²
- Choice of various insulated and non-insulated rings, forks,
disconnects, splices and copper tube terminals
- Variety of insulation materials - nylon, vinyl and polycarbonat
- Standard and unique products for specialist applications
Dragon Tooth® Insulation piercing connectors
This range of insulation piercing connectors and installing tools are
designed to splice, tap and terminate copper magnet wires in motor and
transformer applications.
They penetrate the magnet wire insulation during application,
eliminating the need for stripping, brazing, welding or other methods of
joining magnet wire. The low resistance connector has high mechanical
strength, and can be installed in seconds.
Shield-Kon® shield connection systems
Wherever shielded cables and wires are fitted, there is the problem
of finding a permanent, repeatable, safe and quick connection of the
braided shield. Conventional connection methods use soldering which is
time-consuming and expensive, and can often result in damage to the
dielectric or to the internal shielded conductor caused by heat.
The Shield-Kon® solution from Thomas & Betts involves a crimp technique
for shield termination on shielded cables. This method saves time and
reduces assembly costs. The resulting connections are low profile,
compact and of consistent quality.
