Creation and development of lighting concepts plays an increasingly
important role in our surroundings. Form and light must combine and be
convincing when the luminaire is lit, and also when it is not in use.
Innovation, design flair, technical and manufacturing expertise provide
lighting solutions. Originality and personality, can be incorporated
into the luminaire design and together with an architectural vision can
create unique environments.
The Mallow Street project, (pictured right) designed in conjunction with
Pritchard Themis, typifies Riegens bespoke capabilities. The 48 lamp,
digital dimming controlled, continuously mounted pendant luminaire
structure is suspended in a central core atrium. The glass bricks within
the atrium allow the light structure to be viewed at each floor level
whilst you can walk under the structure on ground floor level. The
design appreciation of both form and function along with our
understanding of the environment in which the luminaire is placed,
creates an aesthetically pleasing solution.
Cirrus - Interior Lighting from the Natural World
Surface Mounted Luminaires
Cirrus, designed by Christian Hvidt, makes use of the new prism micro
diffuser from Riegens, the lens optic gives a soft, glare-free
controlled light, without reflection on to the computer screen. The
Cirrus prism light concept is underlined by the use of sharp geometric
and minimalistic features, emphasis is put on a slim profile, with clean
lines, in combination with unique design. The luminaires striking satin
matt aluminium border, highlights the way the light illuminates the
prism panel, its detail also has a number of important features and is
carried throughout the entire Cirrus range.
Recessed Luminaires, Suspended Luminaires
Cirrus is available as a suspended, recessed or pendant luminaire.
The suspended version of the Cirrus is available as a 2 or 3 lamp
version with a direct/indirect light distribution. Cirrus KC version
offers the possibility to change the appearance of the lighting effect
from warm light to cold light with the time of the day, seasons and
changing working situations and desired mood.
The Recessed Cirrus Range is offered in 3 versions LLO, RLO and TLO.The
Cirrus LLO consists of a central gondola containing the new micro prism
diffuser technology. The Cirrus RLO consists of a central gondola which
combines both the new micro prism diffuser technology and double
parabolic louvres. The TLO is an innovative range of luminaires for T5
lamps featuring the new micro prism optic technology with its special
back reflector system that ensures a uniform illumination of the
complete optical panel, giving full glare control from all viewing
angles.
The Cirrus Pendant is a decorative pendant designed around the circular
T5 fluorescent lamps and features a new developed optical system based
on micro prism.
