Prysmian FP200 Gold®

A unique fire resistant cable incorporating hard skin Insudite™ insulation. The right choice for fire alarms and emergency lighting with minimum installed costs. The original, easy to install alternative to MICC with unmatched combination of rigidity and ease of bending. Good voice and data transmission characteristics.

BASEC & LPCB approved for fire detection and fire alarm critical signal paths to BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008 and voice alarm systems to BS5839-8:2008 in “standard” application areas, and emergency lighting systems to BS5266-1:2005. Cat 1 control cable for BS8519 and LUL approved.

Prysmian New Generation FP Plus™

Prysmian's improved version of FP PLUS™ now long established with enhanced Insudite™ and high performance sheath continues to combine the best installation characteristics with the highest fire performance characteristics that result in the ultimate enhanced emergency detection and control cable.

BASEC & LPCB approved for fire detection and fire alarm critical signal paths to BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008 and voice alarm systems to BS5839-8:2008 in “enhanced” application areas, and emergency lighting systems to BS5266-1:2005. Cat 1, 2 and 3 control cable for BS8519.

Prysmian FP400®

Tough armoured power cable for essential services. When you need continuous power supply for emergency services, FP400® makes all the difference. FP400® has been the cable choice for many projects and applications where previously only MICC has been approved for use.

BASEC approved to BS7846, LPCB approved to BS6387 category CWZ.

Prysmian FP600S

This is the newest addition to the FP range and is now widely specified. FP600S has been designed to power fire fighting systems and essential life safety circuits in large and complex buildings long after evacuation. It is part of the new generation of FP cables designed to meet the much more onerous fire survival requirements of BS8519 and is the first to hold certifification by BASEC, LPCB and LUL.

Examples of circuits which are required to remain operational under such conditions include:-

• Atrium, basement, underground car park & shopping mall smoke venting system
• Electrically operated fire shutters & smoke curtains
• Fire fighting lifts
• Pressurisation & depressurisation fans
• Smoke control dampers motor driven
• Sprinkler & wet-riser pumps

The new requirements and cable test method for use in such application includes an integrated fire test with the application of radiation by flame, repeated direct impact and a water jet to a single sample of cable. This test is given in BS8519:2010 "Selection and installation of fire resistant power and control cable systems for life safety and fire-fighting applications" and detailed in the test method BS8491:2008.

FP600S have been extensively tested against these requirements and achieved the maximum 120 minute rating (F120).

LPCB and BASEC approved to BS8491:2008 120 min and BS 8519 120 min. LUL approved.

Fire Performance Accessories – FP FIREFIX™

FP FIREFIX™ is the metal fixing clip for FP200 Gold® and FP Plus™ cables. It is an alternative to the traditional “AP clip” used to secure fire resistant cables and provides the fastest method of fixing. FP FIREFIX™ is the fastest way to install FP cables utilising “Spit Pulsa” gas nailing technology. The use of the Spit Pulsa tool allows the clip to be nailed directly on to a variety of substrates and significantly reduces cable installation times.

The FP FIREFIX™ range of fixing clips includes a single and a double clip to match the installation.

Many users have already benefited from the time and cost savings brought by FP FIREFIX™.
