ICEL was founded in 1963 and now incorporates ICEL Power Systems and ICEL (Maidstone). The Group employs over 170 highly trained personnel who undertake the most technically demanding projects in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Control Panel Manufacturing and Power Generation.

Operating from their purpose built premises at Lenham, Kent, ICEL Group can provide a complete solution to your requirements whether that is installation, turn-key project work or routine service and maintenance of your power generation, electrical and control systems.

In November 2005, ETDE, the specialist electrical contracting and maintenance subsidiary of the Bouygues Group acquired ICEL Group to further strengthen its presence as an international, multi-technical provider in the industrial and service sectors.

In 2006 ICEL Group enjoyed continued growth with a turnover of £11.3M, contributing to ETDE’s turnover of €1,400M in 2006 with over 12,000 employees.

ICEL Power Systems are a leading provider of Power Generation Solutions across a vast industry and client base.

Generator & Equipment Supply

We are an authorised dealer of FG Wilson products. Owned by Caterpillar, they are the largest manufacturer of Generators in Europe and the third largest in the World and can supply Open Set and enclosed Sound Attenuated Diesel & Gas Generators from 7kVA up to 2.2MVA.

We can also provide associated equipment such as Fuel Tanks and Systems, Switchgear and Control Systems to suit your needs.

Installation & Commissioning

With over 170 skilled personnel and engineers within the ICEL Group, and our access to a range of other approved service and tradesmen, we are able to undertake even the most technically challenging installations.

We are able to undertake electrical installations, not only associated with Power Generation but also Switchgear, UPS Systems, Power Factor Correction and even Commercial & Industrial Contract Work.

Our mechanical division is able to design, fabricate and install Fuel and Exhaust Systems amongst other mechanical projects.

Service, Maintenance & Repair

ICEL are able to provide regular Service & Maintenance to ensure that your equipment operates reliably and efficiently.

Regular Service Inspections can prevent system failure and the consequences that can bring to your business.

With a fleet of field service engineers, we are able to respond to call-out 24 Hours a day, 365 Days per Year and can undertake servicing at a time convenient to you and your operation.

We are also able to provide Stand-By Generators whilst this work is carried out, along with Load-Bank Testing to ensure that your Generation Equipment is providing the service it should do.

Instrumentation & Controls

ICEL Group is a leading provider of bespoke Instrumentation, Control Panels and PLC Systems for Power Generation & Process Control Systems. We are able to provide complete solutions from conceptual design through to installation and commissioning.

Parts

ICEL are able to provide authorised and genuine Spare Parts for most manufacturer’s machines and in particular we are an authorised FG Wilson Parts Dealer with access to a huge range of spares and resources across their entire range of products.
