B & P Security Services Intruder alarms access control
The company was formed with the intention of providing a
comprehensive service to clients. This would cover all aspects of
advice, provision and installation of hardware and ongoing
service/maintenance.
In all cases, the aim is to satisfy the client’s needs from a single
source. This ensures the final results are mutually cost and
operationally effective. When working in active premises, it reduces
installation disruption. Frequently client management time can be taken
up dealing with a number of suppliers to resolve a security problem.
Using a single source for all your security needs frees up valuable
management time and reduces frustration.
System Integration and Intruder Alarms
With increasing frequency, there is a need for the integration of
various security systems under one common control system. This is an
area where the company has considerable expertise, especially in
providing or relocating control rooms.
We have installed systems, which interlink fire alarms, security alarms
(various types) both internal and external, CCTV, digital recording and
audio systems. These are controlled via single front-end graphical
systems. Likewise, the display facilities can include multiple outputs
via single TFT monitors or back projection systems.
Access Control
Today, it has become much more common place to control access to
buildings. This is crucial where the site houses computers or sensitive
company data. The most basic form would be entry to a social or sports
club locker room. Entry methods can be simple keypads or card readers.
The card technology can allow, where, required the card to be used as a
form if identification. Systems can be stand-alone or “on-line”
controlled via a computer.
Where “on-line” access technology is used, the system can incorporate
control of aces levels, time zones and reader terminals. System size can
be as small or as large as required. All systems can incorporate alarm
monitoring, time and attendance, and graphic map display. Where
required, systems can operate over the client’s LAN or WAN. This allows
systems in the UK to control offices all over the world.
Door Entry
Versions are available in both video and audio formats. These can be
single or multiple system configurations. In areas of high vandalism
risks, the external units can made in stainless steel.
These systems can be used both internally and externally and can also
incorporate card readers if required. Applications are areas such as car
parks, computer suites, blocks of flats and retirement homes.
CCTV
Closed Circuit Television
These range from single camera and monitor arrangements to highly
complex computerised controlled systems. Applications for CCTV include
process control, retail environments, crowd control, defence
establishments and sports complexes. Other applications are the
monitoring of motorways, ANPR, railway stations, airports, etc.
Cameras can include facilities to pan, tilt and zoom into target
objects. These units can be capable of operation from high light
situations to use of infra-red or other means of light intensification.
It is now possible in certain circumstances to transmit the video from
the cameras over the client network. This can be either dedicated
network cameras or conventional units via network codecs. Digital video
recording can be implemented either centrally or locally. Where local
units are used these can be interrogated via the client network.
Town Centre CCTV Systems
We have over the years amassed a great deal of experience in the
installation of integrated town centre CCTV systems. These have all been
completed to meet the requirements of BSEN50132/7 1996.
These have involved video transmission via hardwire, fibre, microwave
and LAN. This ensures that our range of experience can cover any
eventuality. With the new display technologies available this also
allows us to cover eventualities as they arise.
Each system will comprise the basic number of cameras, distribution
units, recording facilities (analogue or digital), display monitors,
etc. The systems involved have varied in size, content and location.
These projects have included installations in historic environments as
well as conventional town centre situations and re-generation areas.
