Our two modern design, administration and manufacturing facilities are co-located on a unique site covering over one hectare. • Fully welded and modular sheet steel construction cubicles available
• All forms of separation available
• ASTA Certified busbar systems up to 6300A in fully and partially type tested arrangements
• Front and rear access designs suitable for top or bottom entry cables
• Standard paint finish RAL7032 Light Grey with all other RAL and BS colours available on request
• Internal power factor correction can be incorporated
• Ingress protection of IP31 as standard with ratings available up to IP54 and up to IP65 for MCC’s with Direct on line, star delta, soft start or variable speed drives incorporated
• All types of functional units including ACBs, MCCBs Fuseswitches and MCB or fuseboards in fixed, drawout and plug-in formats

Network Rail Supplies

AF Switchgear Ltd is a leading force in the provision of containerised power supplies for the Rail Industry. Our experience over many years designing and building this type of equipment has led to pioneering advances and improvements to specific requirements and demands. A number of variations are available – all based around the same fundamental criteria.

• Suitable for use on 650V and 400V systems
• Current ratings up to 800A TP&N, TP, SP&N or DP
• Custom built containers to ISO dimensions or individual requirements

Containerised Power Supplies

Entire plant rooms containing combinations of HV substations, LV switchgear, standby generators and UPS’s, built and tested off site, with their own low-maintenance, weatherproof housing. The assembly work is undertaken in parallel with site preparation, saving time and protecting the sensitive electrical equipment from the rigours of the construction site. Witness tested before despatch, these package solutions can be installed and commissioned in as little as a weekend.
