HVMS - Turnkey Power Engineering
Utility Services - Commissioning Contestable Connections - Senior Authorised Persons
Safe Working Systems
Even during the construction of an HV network there is a legal requirement of customers under the provisions of the Electricity at Work Regulation 1989 to have appointed trained and competent staff.
HVMS can provide a ‘Safe System of Work’ for the operational control of the HV Network, during and after the construction phase utilising HVMS Distribution Safety Rules and principally the provision of suitably trained and experienced ‘Senior Authorised Persons’.
Through these staff we are able to provide temporary operational control of the network and manage the transition from construction phase though to client handover.
Turnkey Power Engineering
From design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems HVMS can provide a total Power Engineering service.

Integrated System Commissioning
HVMS Commissioning can include demonstrating the integrated electrical system will function in all respects with the total intent of the design parameters.
- Comply with appropriate standards including international, national, company & site specific
- Review & collate - the systems individual plant pre-commissioning & site test data
- Ensure protection devices have correct settings
- Ensure system is set up correctly
- Prepare specific method statements & risk assessment for system energisation
- Adopt system - permit system & safe system of work
- Test equipment co-ordination & interfaces between individual equipment & devices as a complete network
- Prepare switching schedule for the commissioning & consider site loads
- Submit switching schedule to control for “check safe” sanction
- Carry out procedure
