GENT BY HONEYWELL PRESS RELEASE - GEPR010
Vigilon Voice - two systems in one
Gent,
by Honeywell, are proud to announce the introduction of Vigilon Voice, a fully
distributed Voice Alarm and Public Address system, and long awaited replacement
for the much respected and very successful Orator system. Vigilon Voice boasts
the very latest audio technology, such as high efficiency Adaptive Class -D
amplification and digital signal processing, allowing the system to be used not
only as a VA system, but also as a very flexible PA system.
Vigilon Voice uses the latest surveillance techniques for total system
monitoring, and also provides a microphone by-pass facility in the unlikely
event that a processor should fail. This makes Vigilon Voice totally compliant
with BS5839 Part8.
Vigilon Voice is available in 2 variants, either with 200watt or 400watt
distributed amplifier units (DAUs), and both can operate as a stand alone or as
a fully distributed system. When used as a distributed system, the DAUs are
connected together via an audio highway, which carries data and central message
facilities from the Audio Control Unit (ACU). The addition of microphones,
either emergency or routine, makes the Vigilon Voice system very flexible
indeed, and of course there is no longer the need to provide 2 separate systems
for VA and PA.
Vigilon Voice is already being installed at prestigious sites such as The Royal
Bank of Scotland, at Bishopsgate in London, following in the footsteps of
Orator, which is installed in such buildings as GSK European Headquarters, and
Heathrow and Edinburgh Airports.
