Schueco aluminium curtain walling systems FW50+ and FW60+, with their wide ranging design, thermal and structural possibilities, have a successful track record around the world in a variety of climatic conditions. And the growing trend for more glass and less visible frame is met by our Structural Glazing versions - FW50+SG and FW60+SG.

For basic low rise glazed façades Schueco TTC 50 provides an economic solution while fire protection curtain walls may also be specified.

The market has seen a growing trend towards unitised façades where more prefabrication is undertaken in the factory with the consequent reduction in time on site. Based on our long experience with façades Schueco has developed unitised ranges with either 65 or 90mm face width profiles known as USC 65 and SU90.

Special Profiles

To coincide with the 2010 introduction of the photovoltaic feed-in-tariff, the company brings together its expertise in aluminium and solar with Schueco Prosol TF. By combining sustainable photovoltaic thin-film technology with tried and tested window and façade systems, Schueco ProSol TF opens up new possibilities for building integrated solar architecture.

The design of a façade is determined by the internal and external appearance of the transoms and mullions, while the shape and colour of a profile can make it appear wider or narrower or more or less prominent than it actually is. In recognition of the fact that standard does not always suit, we are able to provide bespoke design solutions based on existing tried and tested Schueco systems.

Windows

The AWS range is a series of thermally insulated aluminium windows which has evolved to meet the requirements of architects and clients for aesthetic, robust and innovative fenestration combined with the improved thermal performance demanded by the Building Regulations Secured by Design and BREEAM.

A variety of window types are available including top and side hung open out, tilt turn, bottom and side hung open in, horizontal and vertical pivot. The same profile suite is also utilised to make single and double balcony doors and tilt sliding doors, while design features include flat, radiused and bevelled frame details as well as “hidden vent” options.

Unique to Schueco inward opening windows is the AvanTec concealed fittings’ system that offers clean sight lines and the possibility of slimmer frames without the problem of hinges conflicting with internal reveal finishes.

All AWS products can be specified with different coloured anodised or paint finishes on the inner and outer faces together with a choice hardware, while long life epdm glazing and weather seals are used throughout as standard.

AWS is available in choice of frame depths - 50, 60, 65, 70 and 75mm - with increasing levels of insulation. Top of the range AWS 75.SI, with its “super insulation” designation, has a class leading Uf value of 1.4 W/m2K.

Additionally, there is a range of specialist AWS products including sound insulating, fire protection and SHEVS compliant smoke and heat exhaust ventilation windows.
