Fire Resistant Glazing
PYRAN® S is a monolithic, fully toughened borosilicate glass which
meets all the requirements of a safety glass and has been extensively
tested and approved in numerous combinations of frames and glazing
materials for 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes integrity in fire resistant
glazing. PYRAN® S fire resistant glass combines outstanding resistance
to heat and thermal shock in large panel sizes with excellent optical
float quality providing distortion-free vision. And, as it is not wired
or laminated, it stays clear at all times - even when subjected to a
fire. PYRAN® S is also available in a butt-jointed glazing system which
permits unlimited runs of fire resistant glazing by the elimination of
obtrusive mullions for up to 60 minutes integrity.
PYRANOVA® is a safety glass which complies with European Regulations,
successfully fire tested to EN 1634-1 for up to 60 minutes integrity and
insulation (EI60) preventing the passage of flames, fumes, smoke and
heat.
Anti-Reflective Glass
A window is only as good as the view through it. How often have you
looked in or out of a window and all you can see is a wall of obtrusive
reflections? Where ordinary glass reflects 8% of light, AMIRAN® reduces
these reflections to less than 1% - rendering it practically invisible.
Equally effective in both natural and artificial light, AMIRAN® has
countless applications in facades and entrances, stadia viewing areas
and commentary boxes, shopfronts, studios and restaurants, to name just
a few. Retail stores fitted with AMIRAN® have seen a considerable
increase in sales after switching to the anti-reflective glass.
Coloured Glass - Feature Glazing
NARIMA™
By the use of selective metal oxide coatings, this glass takes on a
dichroic appearance. Depending on how the sun is shining, the angle of
view and what can be seen in the background, the colours of the glass
dynamically change.
IMERA® is a range of plain body-tinted coloured glass providing design
opportunities for use in large areas. IMERA® can be processed to produce
laminated, toughened and insulating glass.
ARTISTA® is a body-tinted coloured glass with a finely structured
surface available in a range of brilliant colours, suitable for both
stained glass leaded windows and fusing. A new range of compatible
ARTISTA® Frits opens up countless design options for fused decorative
panels.
OPALIKA™
The right lighting makes a great contribution to how comfortable we feel
indoors. Using OPALIKA™ white flashed opal glass by SCHOTT, you can
achieve diffused lighting without shadows. Unlike plastics and etched
glass used in conventional suspended ceilings - OPALIKA™ spreads the
light evenly, so the light source is not visible. Other illuminating
applications include partition walls, shelves and decorative lamps.
Restoration Glass
SCHOTT has a range of glasses especially for historic windows. The
surface finish of these glasses has been adapted from old window glass,
so that they fit in harmoniously with the façade of the building and
bring it back to life.
