Hanson manufactures a wide range of building materials from facing bricks in a variety of colours and textures to lightweight aircrete and dense aggregate blocks, as well as concrete flooring systems.

Bricks

Hanson manufactures a range of facing bricks from high quality extruded products through to the UK’s most environmentally friendly range of soft mud bricks. Special shaped bricks are also available combining aesthetic appeal with architectural versatility.

A range of modular clay units are manufactured in standard and non-standard sizes which provide a visual appearance that is quite distinct from traditional brickwork. These units give a ‘tiled’ effect when constructed using continuous bed and perpend joints.

Blocks

Hanson’s Thermalite aircrete blocks offer high compressive strength, lightness for handling, excellent thermal insulation and resistance to air seepage and moisture penetration. A range of Thermalite solutions are available to meet the thermal requirements of Building Regulations, offering low U-Values with the added benefit of long-term durability.

Hanson also manufactures a range of dense aggregate blocks to suit a variety of applications. Aggregate blocks are a robust product offering high compressive strength and excellent sound resistance.

Prefabricated Walling

The Hanson QuickBuild walling system is an innovative, factory fabricated brick and block cavity wall, utilising high performance bonding mortar. The system provides brick and block panels up to 9 metres long that are ready to be craned into place on site. The panels can be manufactured either plain or with openings for windows and doors.

Lightweight Brick Slip Cladding

Hanson’s Wonderwall brick slip cladding system combines all the advantages of modern prefabrication with all the appeal of traditional appearance. It can be installed faster than traditionally built masonry and is suitable for use as a durable, decorative and thermal insulating finish to external vertical walls.

Terracotta Rainscreen Cladding

Hanson’s LockClad system provides an external terracotta rainscreen façade that is suitable for most types of construction, including concrete, timber and steel framed buildings and can accommodate curved façades, corners, angles, and window and door openings.
