Green Deal... Are You Ready?

There are millions of buildings in the UK that do not have wall insulation. Those built without a cavity may be losing as much as 45% of heat through walls and require alternative insulation solutions. The Green Deal (which is due to be introduced towards the end of 2012), will enable occupiers of commercial & residential properties to install solid wall insulation and other energy efficient measures with no up front costs. The cost of the work will be recovered via energy bills. (Please note that at the time of writing, exact details of the Green Deal are still to be finalised by the Government).

Eurobrick’s innovative backer panel is made from extruded polystyrene foam which is an excellent insulator. The backer panel is available in three basic thicknesses so that individual customer needs can be accommodated, up to 100mm thick of insulation. When 100mm of Eurobrick panel is installed to a typical solid wall, the U-value will be 0.28W/m²K. (This figure is given for guidance purposes only).
