Dense, Lightweight Aggregate and Aircrete Concrete Floor Blocks & Wall Blocks

Coursing Bricks

Durox Coursing bricks complement Durox blocks and should be used for general coursing work and infilling small areas of wall. The use of coursing bricks is advised in Durox walls to avoid introducing cold bridging. Coursing slips are designed specifically for use in combination with floor blocks. They can be used to fill in the void beneath the floor blocks at the beam bearings, or as a coursing brick where the floor bears directly onto the inner leaf.

Appearance

Durox blocks have a white, medium textured surface suitable for direct finishes, such as render, plaster and dry-lining on dabs. Proprietary projection finishes may also be applied. Each product type is shrink-wrapped for protection and easy identification on site.

Toplite GTI/Standard/’7’

Toplite aircrete is suitable for a wide range of applications on both loadbearing and non-loadbearing constructions. Good levels of thermal insulation are combined with loadbearing strength and low weight to provide a versatile range of walling blocks. Good durability is achieved by the unique micro-cellular structure of aircrete confirming its suitability for walls above and below ground.

Appearance

Toplite blocks have a white, medium textured surface. Each product type is supplied in shrink-wrapped packs for protection and easy identification on site. Toplite GTI offers a high level of thermal insulation reducing the amount of additional insulation. It is ideally suited for the construction of inner leaves and solid external walls.

Toplite Standard and ‘7’ are suitable for applications above and below ground including external and separating walls. For details of wall construction which comply with the latest Robust Details E-WM-6, please consult our Technical Services Department.

Toplite ‘7’ is recommended for more demanding loadbearing applications. All Toplite products have excellent working characteristics. They are light, easy to handle and quick to install. They can be easily cut, chased and nailed into.

Hemelite

Hemelite Standard are lightweight concrete blocks suitable for the construction of walls above and below ground and for beam and block floor systems. They have a proven high level of technical performance and provide a strong background for the application of surface finishes and fixings.

Hemelite is produced in solid, cellular and hollow block types as defined in BS EN771-3 and is available in a range of sizes and strengths between 3.6N/mm2 and 10.4N/mm2. Appearance

Standard grade blocks are light to dark grey and have a textured surface suitable for plastering or rendering. Paint Quality grade blocks are light to dark grey and have a close textured surface. The colour and texture of blocks may differ according to factory of origin.

Topcrete

Topcrete Standard are dense concrete blocks suitable for the construction of walls above and below ground and for beam and block floor systems. They are extremely durable, and have excellent load bearing and sound insulation properties combined with low movement characteristics.

Topcrete RPW (Residential Party Wall) blocks are solid units intended for the construction of ‘slender’ separating walls in non domestic residential buildings. They allow the party wall to be built to a width of 190mm, a 12% saving in space compared to conventional solid masonry walls and even greater if compared to cavity walls. They offer high loadbearing capability that is ideally suited to multi-storey buildings.

Topcrete blocks provide a strong background for the application of surface finishes and fixings.
