Renewable / Energy Efficient Heating
Increasingly stringent legislation and escalating
fuel costs makes the need for renewable and energy efficient heating
solutions top of the agenda for many applications. Whether for new
build or retro fit, domestic or non domestic installations, Dimplex
can offer the complete solution including renewable heating in the
form of heat pumps and solar hot water and for commercial
applications only – energy efficient air curtains.
Heat Pumps
Ground Source Heat Pumps & Air Source Heat Pumps
Dimplex has the widest range of heat pumps in the
UK and through our sister company in Germany has over 30 years
experience. We can offer air source heat pumps for indoors or
outdoors and with capacities from 8kW up to 40kW. Our new high
efficiency LA TU and LA TUR+ ranges have high COPs even at low
ambient air temperature due to higher performance evaporators and
can offer variable heating water flow temperatures from 35ºC up to
58ºC and 65ºC respectively. In ground source, we can offer
capacities from 5kW up to 130kW making the range ideal for
applications from small domestic properties through to commercial.
We also offer reversible models which provide cooling as well as
heating.
All social housing and not for profit
installations using Dimplex heat pumps are eligible for funding
under Phase II of the Low Carbons Building Programme*.
Dimplex heat pumps have been installed in a wide
variety of installations including communal heating systems in
apartments, schools and colleges, social housing properties, retail
parks, churches, self build properties and National Trust
properties. With such a wide range we design tailored solutions for
an individual building’s requirement whatever the size.
Solar Heating
At Dimplex we offer a range of pre-packaged kits
for the optimum solution. This not only makes specification easy,
but means our solar packages are quick and easy to install and
commission. All the components required for the installation are
included in the kit, although heat pump integration options are
available if required.
The collector is keymarked approved which means
installations may be applicable for grants under the Low Carbon
Buildings Programme* and it has a 10 year warranty for additional
peace of mind.
For the collector, there is a choice of roof
mounting options for a range of roof coverings including plain or
corrugated tiles, slates or flat roofs. Options for on-roof or roof
integrated are provided.
Maximising Solar Performance in SAP
The Dimplex flat plate collectors outperform the
standard values assigned for solar within SAP, so it’s important
that SAP assessors take advantage of this by adjusting the default
values in SAP. Please speak to our Heating Design Team for further
advice.
Air Curtains
Our extensive air curtain portfolio includes
surface and recess mounted air curtains using electric heat, water
heat or as ambient units for commercial and heavy commercial
applications. We also offer a range of bespoke architectural units
(see pic) that are perfect for applications where design
requirements are of particular importance and a range of heavy duty
industrial products designed for the largest openings.
With express direct delivery to installation site
and up to 3 year warranties, these products represent peace of mind
as well as efficient performance.
All Dimplex air curtain ranges are supplied as
standard with energy saving controls complete with a BMS/BEMS
connection for integrated control with other equipment, which not
only helps reduce energy consumption, but also capital costs as many
manufacturers charge separately for this feature.
