Air Source, Air to Water Heat Pump System

Heating and/or hot water

The ‘complete’ Space Air Daikin Altherma system is a high efficiency air/water heat pump, designed to replace the conventional central heating boiler to reduce carbon emissions and energy bills in any residential and certain commercial developments. Utilising air, a renewable source, the Daikin Altherma incorporates the very latest in inverter and heat exchanger technology, uses the most efficient R-410A non-ozone depleting refrigerant and state-of-the-art electronic controls. These technologies are harmonised to achieve the highest recorded operating efficiencies in all weather conditions (down to -15°C).

The ‘complete’ Daikin Altherma system can help towards CSH. Three types of systems are available: split type, packaged or multi, in single/three phase, low or high temperature, with storage cylinders as an option. Suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects, in some cases the heat pump can connect to existing radiators, but these will need to be assessed by each project. Daikin Altherma can connect to radiators, towel rails, underfloor heating and fan convectors.

Split System 5kW - 16kW

Consisting of two components, an outdoor heat absorbing unit (heat pump) and an indoor heat exchanger hydro-box unit. The split system offers superb flexibility and can be modular. Two styles are available, in low temperature (50°C) or high temperature (80°C). Ideal for architects, as the system can be kept out of sight, and the outdoor unit can be up to 75m away from the indoor unit.

Mono System 5kW - 16kW

An all-in-one, weatherproof outdoor unit including all the components of the Daikin Altherma split type system, circulating pump, expansion vessel, back up heater and sophisticated integral Daikin controls, housed in one packaged unit. In this system the water pipes run indoors from the outdoor unit, making installation quicker and easier in certain applications.

Multi (Flex) System 23kW - 45kW

The Daikin Altherma Flex multi system is able to heat water up to 70°C with remarkable efficiency because of its ability to recover the heat stored in outdoor air, raise the temperature and transfer the heat to individual indoor units. One outdoor unit can connect up to 10 indoor units.

Heat Reclaim Ventilation System

The modular Daikin HRV system efficiently exchanges temperature and humidity between supply and exhaust air. The low cost system from Space Air is supplied with all the necessary components and can be weatherproofed for outside installation. Daikin HRV is ideal for both residential and commercial applications 150 ~ 2000(l/sec).
