Colt International LtdNatural Ventilation, High Performance Louvres & Ventilation turretsColt NFV – Natural Façade VentilatorThe Colt NFV is a range of integrated louvres and thermally broken dampers (with air permeability to BS 6375 part 1:1989) designed to be installed within the façade of a building to allow controlled natural ventilation. The Colt NFV range is ideally suited for education facilities as part of BB101 but is also suitable to many commercial and public buildings such as libraries, offices and health care facilities. The Colt NFV is available in an UNLIMITED size range in increments of just 1mm and comes supplied with either single or double bank external louvre options. Rigid UPVC internal louvres with integral security bar are controlled by electric 24v or 240v actuators. Attenuation, Bird guard, insect guard and integrated rain, wind, temperature and CO sensors are also available on request. Coltlite– Natural Glazed Façade VentilatorColtlite is a natural glazed louvred ventilator for installation into the façade for both day to day and smoke ventilation. It is available in a wide range of sizes, louvre options and control options. Its form and function make it particularly suited to naturally ventilated buildings where good aerodynamic and measured free area ventilation is required while achieving high acoustic, thermal and aerodynamic performance. Whilst it is primarily designed as a glazed element of the building envelope, Coltlite can also be applied as a high specification smoke and air control damper. Typical applications are hospitals, schools, apartments and commercial buildings. High Performance LouvresColtlite is aerodynamically efficient, has a low U value, is exceptionally airtight and has a high resistance to weather. Its free area is approximately 3 times that of a bottom hung ventilator of a similar size. Smoke VentilationColtlite ventilators have been tested in accordance with EN 12101-2 in accredited third party test laboratories and are CE marked. This means that they are classed as and may be used as smoke and heat exhaust ventilators. Colt Universal Louvre Type 1UL, 2UL & 3ULColt Louvre Systems and Louvre Turrets are popular with designers for many applications in industrial and commercial buildings. Their purpose can be to control light entry, to provide ventilation whilst maintaining rain defence, to provide screening, or a combination of these. They can also be provided simply for aesthetic impact. Colt louvre systems are available in various shapes, configurations, materials, finishes and coatings to meet the requirements of almost any project. Louvres can be extruded or roll formed; polyester powder painted, precoated or anodised perforated, or stucco embossed. Besides aluminium and stainless steel profiles, there are all manner of glass, textile, wood, terracotta clay and translucent acrylic louvres available depending upon aesthetic and energetic requirements. There are also a wide range of accessories, including single skin or insulated blanking panels, acoustic modules, guards and meshes, doors and turrets.
