stadiums, hotels, broadcast studios, hospitals and much more.
Carrier systems have satisfied countless installations worldwide,
and in the UK major projects include Ascot Grandstand, the Centre
Court refurbishment at the home of British tennis, London’s O2 Arena
and major sporting stadiums. Air conditioning plays a critical part
in the effective operation and enjoyment of these venues. The
Carrier systems selected to solve the O2 arena’s needs included four
Aquaforce chillers, nine large water-cooled chillers, and fourteen
air handling units.
Award Winning Performance
Carrier has demonstrated tremendous commitment to the environment
recognised by achieving the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
“Ozone Protection Award”. Carrier has also been awarded merits for
product performance, including “Environmental Pioneers for Air
Conditioning” and “Air Conditioning Product of the Year”.
New Innovations
Aquasmart Evolution– Complete Building Management
The Aquasmart Evolution is an advanced control system that
integrates hot/cold water chillers and heat pumps with indoor units
in a controlled environment. The simple, user friendly System
Manager can control up to 128 indoor units with total capacities of
5 kW to over 500 kW. The ambient temperature can be programmed for
each zone via the System Manager, ensuring all building
functionalities are met. With Aquasmart Evolution each application
guarantees tailor-made comfort.
Aquaforce 30XA Chiller
The Aquaforce air-cooled liquid chiller delivers long-term optimised
performance and has been designed in two versions to meet the needs
of both industrial and commercial applications. One offers extremely
low noise levels, the other offers unequalled energy efficiency.
With an average EER of 3.15 the Aquaforce is one of the few chillers
to achieve the highest energy efficiency label, Class A. All
Aquaforce units are available with the innovative aluminium micro
channel heat exchanger (MCHX) which offers exceptional efficiency
and greatly improved resistance to corrosion. The design concept
incorporates the best Carrier technologies in a choice of 20 models,
operating on R134a with capacities from 270 to 1,700 kW.
Air Handling Units
Carrier’s air handling units are available as standard, bespoke and
packaged. The Airovision range offers all the benefits of a standard
range unit delivering air flow volumes of 0.5m³/s to 35m³/s.
Additional options enable increased capacities, incorporation of
special components and physical dimensions to be adapted to suit the
available installation space.
Multi-Award Winning R410A Aquasnap Puron Chiller
Launched and awarded two industry Awards in 2005, the Carrier 30RB
chiller was the first air cooled liquid chiller in its capacity
range designed to operate with R410A. Available in both cooling only
(240-760 kW) and heat pump versions (240-550 kW) it delivers
exceptional part-load energy efficiency and is the ideal response to
the stringent demands of the new building regulations. Other
features include; excellent performance, revolutionary free-cooling
system, scroll compressors and Flying Bird fans, integrated hydronic
modules (up to 500 kW) and a heat recovery option.
Packaged Systems & Fan Coils
Carrier have launched a complete range of new energy efficient
Rooftop Packaged systems and fan coils. The Packaged units are
designed to fit the exact dimensions of older, less energy efficient
models, they incorporate improved components and operate on
efficient R407C and R410A refrigerants. Available as cooling only or
heat pump the standard unit capacity range is 41 to 150 kW. The
systems are designed to replace older models, with the same
dimensions enabling cost effective drop-in replacement. Bespoke
systems are also available to suit your precise requirement and
capacity.
Carrier’s indoor fan coil range includes high wall, slim ducted and
low noise ducted models, floor standing, ceiling cassettes and air
treatment modules.
