Solar Thermal Collectors - Flat Plate - Evacuated Tubes - Façade Collectors

AET is committed to reducing the impact of Human Consumption on the Environment and Climate Change and launched new products at the 2011 Energy Solutions Expo at Olympia. Solar Energy is probably one of the most talked about subjects with AET presenting the absolute state of the art solar thermal collectors. On show was the World Leading "CAMEL Solar" Facade Collector and the latest high efficiency Evacuated Tube Collectors.

Linked to this technology AET are introducing Solar Cooling Techniques with new Absorption Chillers driven by Solar Hot Water and Gas.

CAMEL Solar Thermal Collectors by AET

Using the latest bonding techniques "CAMEL Solar" Thermal collectors distributed by AET offer the highest efficiencies and the finest appearance available in this fast moving market sector.

Flat Plate

Selective Copper is a flat plate solar thermal collector, comprising 10 thin copper absorber sheets, coated with a high quality PVD selective coating and ultrasonically welded to the copper absorber heat pipes. The heat pipes are brazed to the copper manifold collecting pipes. The manifold pipes are also ultrasonically welded with copper sheets with the same PVD selective coating. With this innovation, the surface area is increased by around 8% and the coefficient of efficiency is increased by the same percentage. This complete absorber is mounted in an aluminium box, insulated with rock wool and protected with low iron content tempered glass. This is then sealed to the aluminium box using a special silicone seal.

Evacuated Tubes

CS VACUUM is a new U-type solar tube collector, composed of 10 or 15 evacuated glass tubes with high efficiency selective coating on the inner glass tube. Absorbers are made of patented U-type copper pipes, ultrasonically welded with aluminium or copper plates with special IR absorber coating. The heat from the hot end of the U-type pipes is collected in the manifold; insulated with high density rock wool and placed in an aluminium anodised collecting box. The serial product of this type of collector consists of 10 or 15 evacuated tubes as standard. For sufficient orders the number of tubes can be tailored to the wishes of our clients.

Solar Thermal Facade Collector

The solar thermal flat plate copper - aluminium Facade collector is composed of 9 copper pipes ultrasonically welded with the aluminium full plate absorber with high efficient PVD selective coating. The newest type of welding produces the best coefficient of heat transition and creates a seamless appearance as there are no welding lines or deformation of the absorber. This absorber is very similar to a glass surface and is perfect for implementing in a façade or on a roof. This complete full plate absorber is soldered with copper collective pipes and placed in compact aluminium frame box, isolated with rock wool and covered with tempered, low iron, antireflective and low-soiling glass. The Low-soiling coating is anti-dust, anti-corrosion and keeps glass clear with the same optical characteristics without cleaning, with sealing between the glass and the frame is made with special silicon.

The latest Collector has been developed for Facade mounting on tall buildings be they apartments, hotels or even office developments.

The "CAMEL Solar" Facade collector offers an unequalled appearance eliminating any of the deformation and striping associated with conventional welding techniques. Resembling the appearance of an i-Phone these panels provide a uniform finish throughout an installation making it by far the most attractive panel aesthetically and highly suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects.

Solar Cooling using "CAMEL Solar" and Hot Water Absorption Chillers saves Energy & CO2. With a range of 50-3500kW capacity these units will serve from small load application up to District Cooling systems with ease.
