Fixed Vertical Ladders

Industrial standard fixed vertical ladder available to suit floor to ceiling heights of between 2.0 and 6.0 meters (special sizes available upon request). Manufactured to meet the requirements of BS4211:2005.

There are three types of fixed vertical ladder, available in alumnium or galvanized steel.

Specifications - Aluminium

• Alloy Class 1 Stiles 87mm x 27mm box section
• Class 1 22mm diameter heavy duty serrated rung
• Stand off brackets from 50mm x 10mm alloy rectangular bar
• Fixings in A4 grade stainless steel
• All alloy mill finish

Specifications - Mild Steel

• Stand off brackets from 50 x 10mm bar
• Stiles: 50mm x 10mm flat bar
• Rung: 20mm solid round bar
• Galvanised finish

Fixed Vertical Ladder No Safety Cage

Type BL-A and BL-S fixed vertical ladders are designed for use with Bilco Roof Access Hatches.

Optional LadderUP® Safety Post

Provides easier, safer ladder access through roof access hatches; floor doors; and manholes.

This telescoping post permanently mounts to the top two rungs of any fixed ladder, providing a positive hand-hold and enabling the user to enter or exit an opening in an upright, balanced position.

Fixed Vertical Ladder with Safety Cage

Supplied with a fixed safety cage designed to sit below a roof access hatch. Optional LadderUP® Safety Post.

Fixed Vertical Ladder with Safety Cage & Guardrail

Supplied with a fixed safety cage and guardrail designed for access onto mezzanine or flat roof areas where an access hatch is not being used.

Specifications - Aluminium Safety Cage

Safety Cage: Distance to lowest hoop between 2.2m and 3m.

Strap: 50mm x 10mm alloy rectangular bar.

Fixings: Dome head bolts.

Retractable Ladders

Designed for easy installation and fitted with heavy duty counter balancing springs to provide safe and controlled operation. Manufactured to EN 14975 (DN 4570) standards, the retractable ladders are manufactured from die-cast aluminium alloy, with two options available.

BL-Z Retractable Ladder

Materials: Backboards are fabricated from 18mm block wood.

Load Bearing: 200kg per tread - overall unit 500kg/m2.

Tread Size: BL-Z-1-4 - tread size is 350mm x 140mm.

BL-Z-4 - tread size 300mm x 140mm. Alternate tread sizes are available.

Tread Rise: Subject to the floor to ceiling height. The typical tread rise will be between 277 - 280mm.

Supplied with a 580mm wide mounting backboard.

BL-ZBOX Retractable Ladder With laminated wood trap door & lining

Retractable ladder designed with a timber lining and trap door to enclose the ladder from the underside.

* The lining and trap door are fabricated from 18mm thick laminated wood

Depth of Lining: 500mm from the underside of the hatch to the trap door in the closed position.

Tread Size: Available in widths (mm) of 200, 250, 300, 350, 380, 430, 530, 580. Treads that are 200-380mm wide are supplied with a depth of 140mm. 430-580mm wide treads have a depth of 160mm.

Tread Rise: Subject to the floor to ceiling height. The typical tread rise will be between 277 - 280mm.
