Quality Industrial Flooring Systems & Anti Slip Flooring

At John L Lord & Son Ltd, quality product manufacture has always been of utmost importance and this is controlled by in-house manufacturing systems. All raw materials are carefully sourced, then checked and tested in laboratories on arrival. All products are manufactured in compliance with BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standards and are quality tested before despatch.

There are currently over 30 different domestic, commercial and industrial flooring and anti-slip flooring products in the John Lord range including some of the following:

• The Uragard HT Range of high-performance, anti-slip polyurethane screed systems.
• Uragard MT and MT (F) - self-smoothing polyurethane screeds with smooth, matt finishes and optional flexibility.
• Uragard SL - a solvent-free polyurethane self-levelling system with a smooth, glossy finish.
• Epigard SL - a self-levelling, epoxy-resin based system with a smooth and seamless finish.
• Epigard SL Anti-Static - a static dissipative epoxy-based, self-levelling flooring system.
• Acrigard - a fast-curing, MMA-based, acrylic resin system.
• Epigard Screed Quartz - an epoxy-resin based screed with blended coloured quartz, which produces an attractive, multi-coloured semi-matt finish.
• Uragard Decorative Quartz - a broadcast polyurethane-resin based screed with blended coloured quartz, which produces a eye-catching semi-gloss finish.
• Protect No.1 - a heavy-duty floor coating system.

Skilled Workforce - Learning how to lay an epoxy resin floor to a high standard is a skill indeed and many of the John Lord operatives have over 20 years experience. All members of the site workforce are part of the John Lord Training Programme, ensuring that all employees have the relevant Health and Safety training. Many of the site workforce have recently been recruited onto the new NVQ Insitu Resin Flooring Training Course.

Canal Engineering Ltd, part of the John Lord Group, also design and install a full range of stainless steel drainage systems and protection systems from their second manufacturing base in Nottingham.

Accreditations

The John Lord Group have been certified with the SGS ISO 9002: 1994 Quality Management since 17 March 2003, and have achieved the SGS ISO 9001: 2000 certification in May 2005. The John Lord Group has been a Manufacturer Member of FeRFA, the Resin Flooring Association since 2004, promoting the development of National and International standards for Resin Flooring. John Lord has recently become a member of NBS Plus and has added full technical product information which can be found on the NBS website, www.nbsplus.co.uk. The NBS Plus database (part of the National Buildings Specification) is a useful system that allows architects, engineers and other construction industry proffessionals to search for suppliers and extract the relevant technical information for the specification in NBS format.

Epoxy Resin Flooring

The John Lord Group formulate and manufacture a wide range of epoxy resin flooring systems, trowelling compounds, cements, heavy duty coatings, 'performance plus' epoxy resin flooring screeds and ceramic tiling systems. The materials are based on epoxy resins which may be Polyurethane, Epoxide, Polyester, Methacrylic, Furane or Sodium Potassium Silicate based, depending on the required performance criteria. Our quality control department are in a position to evaluate all raw materials, and test each batch of the finished product to ensure consistent quality, thereby supporting this aspect of our 'Total Responsibility Package'.

The John Lord Product Range is split into the following product groups: A comprehensive range of polyurethane epoxy resin based floor and wall systems. URAGARD products include the successful H.T Range of heavy and medium duty seamless floor screeds, trowel applied renders, flexible membranes, and scratch resistant coatings. All URAGARD products have been formulated to provide optimum performance characteristics in relation in particular to chemical resistance, durability and high heat distortion.

A complete range of epoxy resin flooring and lining systems. The EPIGARD range contains a wide diversity of industrial flooring systems with varied performance and dynamic qualities. Products within this group include resin render screeds for wall rendering and producing coved skirtings, trowel applied vessel linings, concrete repain mortars, decorative coloured quartz floor screeds, machine grouts and liquid membranes. Products in the EPIGARD range have been designed to provide excellent chemical and wear resistance, good substrate tolerance, wide colour variety, excellent decontamination properties and maximum diversity of surface finish.

A range of epoxy resin based, heavy duty coating systems which bridge the gap between conventional floor paints and performance plus screeds. PROTECT coatings include solvent free and water based systems with smooth or anti-slip profiles. PROTECT coatings are designed to provide chemical and wear resistant finishes to floors and walls, or as linings to vessels and pipes.

A range of MMA acrylic based floor finishing systems, designed to be very fast curing, hygienic, smart in appearance, and long term durable in aggressive working environments.

RIZISTALCRETE is a heavy duty co-polymer modified granolithic anti-slip floor screed. It provides an extremely hard wearing, impact resisting, non dusting finish which is anti-slip, easy to clean and hygienic. The economical RIZISTALCRETE system can be used to renovate damaged or worn concrete and can be laid as a leveling screed to provide falls to drainage.
