Since its formation back in 1996, Andromeda
Telematics have become the leading UK exponent of European Installation Bus (EIB)
Technology. The company has grown rapidly, designing and implementing major EIB

Using EIB bus technology
Andromeda Telematics can provide interoperable building control systems for many
applications such as blind control, solar shading, energy monitoring, metering
and energy management systems.
Instabus, European Installation Bus (EIB) is
often referred to as a very robust and reliable system supported by many major
manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, Merten, Gira, Theben and Jung, all of which
Andromeda have an in depth knowledge of and history of projects.
EIBA European
Installation Bus Association has now joined the KNX group or Konnex. The Konnex
group has now brought together a number of interoperable open protocol bus systems
that can all work together. EIB and BACnet are now the perfect partners for full
building control systems, BMS offering integrated lighting control and HVAC solutions
for today’s smart building.
EIB working as the backbone bus network to DALI
via Tridonic, Helvar, Philips or Osram ballasts will supply the smart lighting
control solution coupled with EIB and BACnet offering the intelligent HVAC building
control system, BMS.
The new Siemens range of Synco HVAC controllers is now
programmed using the KNX ETS3 Engineering Tool Software as produced by EIBA. This
is also the open platform used to programme European Installation Bus, EIB products.
All of the ATL engineering team are fully qualified and trained to use the
ETS software to EIBA standards (KNX). Many other lighting control applications
such as architectural lighting control, dimming, circuit switching and conference
room control systems can be provided by Andromeda Telematics Limited along with
a range of wireless and radio control solutions.
