Plaster Coving and Decorative Cornice, The Easy Way
Decorative coving and cornice could transform your home.
Now that transformation can be achieved with a fraction of the
hassle of traditional materials like plaster, without losing any of
the beauty or fine detailing that is associated with it.
That's because our polymer coving and cornicing is moulded to give
be indistinguishable from plaster but, unlike plaster, it is
lightweight, not brittle and is pre-primed to require just 1 coat of
paint. In short it's much easier quicker to install and less prone
to damage, which saves you time and money.
There are hundreds of styles to choose from, from Georgian and
Victorian to Art Deco and contemporary, and if you need convincing
about the material we'll even send you a free sample.
Other Interior Features, Too
As you might expect our range now covers the full
range of interior architectural mouldings that would traditionally
be made from plaster, like dado rails, ceiling roses, niches and
corbels. We even have a range that covers what would traditionally
be made from wood, like skirting boards and architraves.
Plus columns, pillars & pilasters
Suitable for use internally or externally, our
columns range offers Doric, Ionic and Corinthian styles. Like our
other products they look just like plaster, but are so much more
easy to install and maintain.
Benefits over Plaster
- Installs up to 3 times faster saving time and money
- Overall you can expect to make considerable savings on your project
- Save even more and install DIY - something very few would feel confident enough to attempt with plaster
- Considerably lighter. You'll only need one person to install rather than two or three
- Whilst plaster is fragile and rigid these polymers are durable, shock resistant and have enough flexibility to attach to minor undulations in your wall without snapping or cracking
- Pre-primed surface only needs one coat of paint, rather than two or three
- Easy to cut and creates no significant dust or mess, which can be considerable with plaster
- Water and humidity resistant so can easily be installed into bathrooms and kitchens (when used with our Fix Hydro adhesive)
- Impact resistant, so less likely to be damaged during or after installation
- Flexible options on Premier Cornice and Premier Railing ranges allow for concave and convex walls, and with railing arches, too
