Draughtex is a new draught excluder which is designed to be fitted in the gaps between floorboards, keeping cold air out and improving the comfort and energy efficiency in your home. DraughtEx is fitted easily, without adhesive, and is available with a uniquely designed application tool for quick fitting.

Its unique design and colour mimics the shadows created between floorboards, providing a natural finish.

DraughtEx is a guaranteed alternative to putty type fillers, papier-mâché or PVA glue/sawdust mixes and will not become displaced when floorboards expand and contract.

Where and what for?

DraughtEx is used to insulate the gaps between floorboards. It can also be used to insulate the gap between floor boards and skirting boards or just about any other gap between 2mm and 8mm wide.

DraughtEx can even be used to provide insulation to floorboards that are under your carpet.

How?

The product is almost invisible once inserted. It sits up to 10mm below the surface of the floor and can rest on the joists below. Because of the unique design of DraughtEx it changes its profile to accommodate expansion and contraction of wooden floorboards, therefore making it an ideal solution to filling floorboard gaps.

How Fast?

DraughtEx is quick, clean and easy to fit. It requires no DIY skills whatsoever and the only tools required to insulate your room are the applicator provided, a pair of scissors and an old credit card or similar plastic implement.

Typically, a 12 foot square room can be insulated in less than an hour, and will last a lifetime, compared to alternatives, which take many hours and only last a very short time in comparison.

Can I take it out?

DraughtEx can easily be extracted from the floor in case you need to access the space below the floor boards, and then can be quickly re-inserted to remake the seal and insulate the room once again.
